Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 November 2006

The state is going to take my sister-in-laws child away. I understand that family gets first shot at temporary custody. So although just married we are considering taking on this baby. Is DYFS going to do a home study? Are they going to require checkups for us? Do we get any help from the state (money wise, or formula or diapers?)Are they going to drug test? Is it just like foster care and do we have to go through all the same requirements?

I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks or so before my period. I had my period which was unusually quick (3 days) and very light. Now I've been very sick to my stomach and very tired. Is it possible that even though I had my period that I could be pregnant??

i am 30 weeks preg and after my last child i started having problems with my gall bladder.every women in my family that is older has hsd theres removed already and i was wanting to do the same but then i got preg again.my question is does anyone know any good ways to relieve the discomfort it causes? the old methods i used dont work anymore and i dont know if its cause im preg or if its just getting worse!any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it safe to take colace stoole softener during pregnancy, mayeb take them every other day? I am 13 weeks and had some red blood in my underwear(sorry if TMI) and I ran up to my doctors to ask about this and they checked on the baby and the hearbeat was fine and they checked my cervix and there was no blood so she thought it might be rectal bleeding from straining too much.

i dont know if you can actually get home blood test for testing if your pregnant but i have done a urine test and its negative,i was advised to try a blood test as i have may symptoms but cant get into see my gp till late nxt week dont think i cant wait that long suspense driving me potty!!!! so if anyone knows if you can do/get them anywhere else or even on yourself i would ne gratefull for the reply

This is probably going to sound stupid but I don't understand how I can already be showing. I am only 14 weeks. At my last doctor's appointement they told me that my uterus should start rising above the pubic bone soon. This was about 2 weeks ago, so if it has only risen slightly why is my whole stomach sticking out already?

I am currently paying £25 per day (8am -6pm) to a childminder for my toddler. I am on maternity leave at present but when I go back to work after xmas I need someone who can look after the toddler & the baby. ( My current childminder can't look after them both due to numbers).
My friend only pays £30 per day for her toddler & baby which sounds reasonable to me.
Is my current childminder ripping me off or is it cheaper for 2?

I came off the pill a couple of months ago. We are trying to conceive baby number 2. Had intercourse on the 12th day of my cycle, which I think is a 31 day cycle. Had intercourse again on day 17. I have had some pregnancy symptoms since the first day of intercourse. But on day 18 of my cycle, I experienced cramping on one side for most of that day. I think I had a couple of blood spots on day 19. I have tried a pregnancy test which turned out negative, but I did test too early. Im not due my period until 7th December. Is it best to see a doctor just to make sure everythings ok, or should I wait and see if I come on first?

Is it ok to wear concealer on most of your face to cover acne scars and some pimples everyday for school?

ALSO:

When you are wearing concealer or foundation all over your face, do people notice? If so, who notices? Guys or girls?

If you have alot of acne scars, is it ok to wear alot of makeup to cover it up (for school)?


Will it ruin my skin? I'm 14.
