When I put her down in her crib she stands right up and starts crying this pitiful cry...the kind that yanks your heart out. Do I just shut the door and leave? Does the 5 minute interval method work? (coming back every 5 mins to console her)

I've tried letting her cry it out an it's absolutely heart wrenching to both of us. We've even given her a bottle in the middle of the night because she asks for it and she won't take it unless it's milk. I know it's a no-no. HELP! I don't get any sleep!

Are there any ways to conceive a baby girl? I mean, someone needs to explain this to me cuz im lost. I dont have any kids (mid 20s) I want to have a girl first but I would like to try this out if anyone knows what the deal is with this. I mean, only because my man has two boys and i want to give him a girl. Whatever it is I want a healthy baby :)

I stopped taking the pill a few months back and since then my periods have continued but not regular at all and i only bled for a few days and it it really light (only needed 1 tampon a day really) Since then i have had cramps and have been so tired. I have done 2 pregnancy tests (both -ve) but im putting on weight even though im watching what i eat and i feel sick and lethagic all the time.
In the end i decided to go see my doctor, he felt my tummy, asked if i might be pregnant and he has booked me in for a scan at my local hospital and got me to do a urine sample. I would be over the moon if i was pregnant but i just dont see how i could be so now im worrying as to what my doctor thinks is up with me! Im also experiencing what i can only discribe as like hiccups kindof between my hips.
Anyone got any serious suggestions or ideas as to what might be going on?

They are also known as leashes. This is when the guardian to a child puts their child to contain them when they are out in public.

Please don't think I'm taking any side on this argument. I just want to hear other people's opinions--I have a paper to write about the pros/cons of harness use. Any opinion is appreciated!

Do you think the use of a toddler harness could have been avoided in most cases?

Isn't it sad that parents feel this is the only way we can protect children?

Would you ever use a toddler harness for you child?

If so, what is the purpose for doing so?

My baby is almost 3 weeks old. We both took to breastfeeding very easily, however he had jaundice, so his doctor put him on formula for a few days till his bilirubin went down. While he was on formula I pumped and stored my milk and was getting 4-5 oz. everytime I pumped. He wasn't latching back on to my breast after the formula, so hubby and I decided to just pump my milk and bottle feed him. I am drinking plenty of milk and water, eating healthy and pumpimg avery 2-3 hours, but now I am lucky to get 2 oz. combined when I pump. Is there anything I can do to increase supply or am I losing my milk? Anyone with experiences like this would be appreciated, as well as anyone who has knowledge in this area. Also, when I experience letdown, it only lasts about 30 seconds, then I can't get anymore milk.

This may sound a bit silly BUT....

My due date is in May, so I have a little bit, but I was wondering if babies should be bundled up still in warmer weather, or would a short sleeved outfits be apporiate for that time a year. I live in FL, so our temps. are going to be in the high 90s by that time of year. I feel so silly, but with my first, he was born in December, so I bought the warmest thing I could find and tons of blankets, so it was easy! Thanks for your answers (bored at work and this question just came to me:)

We took the bumpers out of my daughter's crib when she was about three months old and had learned to turn over on her own. Now she is 8 months old, and is throwing all of her toys and her binky out at night and in the morning when she wakes up, plus I feel like they may block a bit of the draft (we live in an older house in it gets drafty at night). Is it safe to put them back in for now until she learns to stand up? I know they need to be back out then so she can't use then to climb up on...

During the day I bottle feed my 3 month old son because I am in school. When I come back from school I will feed him for about and hour...I basically breastfeed when i can. I would say at 3-4 times during the day but at night I only breastfeed but I feel I'm losing my milk. I don't leek like I use 2. Before I had to wear breast pads, now I don't need 2. I can tell i still have milk, but can I be drying up?

I do not have a normal period every month, it always varies between a few days- but i'm about 2.5 weeks late. I took an EPT digital test 3 days ago and it came out negative.
My boobs are large & sore, I have mild cramping, bloated stomach- I have no morning sickness or spotting.
EPT says it's 99% accurate, is there still a possibility that i'm pregnant?
Also, when I was about 2 weeks late I had unprotected sex- is it possible to get pregnant when your period is late already (assuming I wasn't pregnant before)?

Sometimes people dont find out that they are pregnant until there bacically in their 6-8 weeks. If they havent been taking pre-natal vitamins but start when they find out, they are still able to have a healthy baby. So my question is why would it make a difference if you start taking them then then starting when you find out a lest say 4-5 weeks?

Why would a woman throw a baby out in the garbage? They have made it so easy for women now that it isn't a crime to leave your baby at any hospital or church? What would possess someone to want to put an innocent life in harms way? This has me truly perplexed and sad.

I've always dreamed of having a family of my own, starting something and doing it better than my parents did. I'm 21 and I've had uprotected sex several times. I'm not actually trying to have a baby, but I'm not actively trying NOT to either. I'm now getting married in the next few months and my fiance' has also always dreamed of having a family, I'm terrified that I'm not able to have children. And if I find out that I cant, I dont think I'm going to marry him. I dont want to take that right, that happiness of having children away from him, simply because I cant have them. And we've thought about adoption and both agree, that its just not the same...we want the entire experience, not just the baby; the pregnacy and the whole nine yards....should i leave him if i find out that I cant have children?
