It shouldn't..Your baby is safer than you think, all wrapped in his/her "mommy coccoon". Just let him know that he has to be gentle, and I'm sure he'll comply. In fact, with your son being so close to you, let him know that his talking to the baby is a good thing... let him tell the baby stories, things like that can strenghten his relationship with his sibling, making the transition all that much easier. My daughter loved talking to both her brothers while I was pregnant with them, and she was even more excited when I brought them home from the hospital and she could talk to them face-to-face. So, by all means, cuddle with your son.

Hell no! The baby is protected. Now if you were punched in the stomach, it's a different story.

I doubt it. The placenta and amniotic fluid work as cushions. Unless your three year old is bashing your stomach with a hammer, I don't think that you should worry :)

no your 3 year old is just asking for attention, I not saying you are not giving it to him, if this hurts you for him to lean on your belly just tell him to give his baby brother/sister a gentle hug, let him get involved. good luck

No, when my mom was pregnant with my younger brother I used to do that, even my mom would carry me around and I was 3.5 years old.
He is healthy and very strong boy ;)
