We have a few baskets filled with different supplies on our changing table and we also have a diaper holder hanging from the side that I love (this isn't the exact one but just so you have an idea):

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-3/qid=1164832482/ref=sr_1_3/601-7937038-0106500?ie=UTF8&asin=B000CSWJUE

Then in the baskets we have the following items:
Under the table we have 4 baskets--
1) filled with extra diapers and wipes
2) burp cloths/wash cloths
3) blankets
4) towels, diaper pad sheets

On the table we have the box of wipes, and then another small basket that has diaper creme (A&D as well as Desitin), bulb for cleaning out the nose, tylenol, lotion for the babies body, a thermometer and a few books for her to look at now that she is older

make sure there's something underneath the baby that's washable, because there will be times that the dirty diapers will get quite messy. make sure you find a wipes container that you can easily open and disperse with one hand. keep a couple small hand toys that the baby can play with to distract while you're changing the diaper. always keep a few extra tubes of diaper ointment on hand (i prefer desitin), just in case you lose one, that's one product you don't ever want to run out of, because a bad diaper rash will make the baby very fussy. i also recommend buying the diapers in bulk, walmart carries the big boxes of all different kinds, and just fill up the top drawer with them so they're easily accessible. don't waste your money on a diaper holder, they're more trouble than they're worth. don't bother with a diaper genie either, just put the wet/dirty diapers in a plastic sack (with a dryer sheet to help with odor) and stick them in the trash.

i don't have a metamorphosis table the two for the two my young toddlers. i take advantage of the mattress at night because of the fact my son sleeps in his bassinet by using my mattress and via the day i take advantage of the settee, only use a metamorphosis pad or receiving blanket to seize any spills or leaks. I recommend (and its what i do) paying for 2 seperate wipes dispensers one for the main significant floor and one for the upstairs and only shop some diapers on the main significant floor and a few on the kit upstairs. have confidence me whilst your drained and feeding and changing each 3 hours you only isn't too particular :) As for the place to shop them..i take advantage of a nightstand to maintain all his diaper changing issues like vaseline, wipes, and diapers in a neat pile and as quickly as the piles are working low i at as quickly as replace each thing previously I run out. desire I helped and have confidence me substitute tables are a waste of money in my view..in no way needed one!

Try having a wipe warmer (more for babys comfort but will keep her from wiggling) and Baby powder. Also, it is always helpfull if you have a diaper pail close by (with an air sanatizer).

Diapers, wipes, baby powder, cornstarch, diaper rash cream, toys, Q-tips, lotion, clippers or small scissors to cut nails, soft toothbrush, brush, and maybe a small light to see by in the night. :o)

Baby wash clothes, baby lotions (body), baby brush/comb set. And last but not least, a bulb syringe (they give you on at hospital) to suction nose "things" ( trying to say this nicely!).

Good luck!
