I really hate to say this, but I had all through my pregnancy, and found that nothing worked. i even had it during labour. You can ease it by avoiding foods that you find make it worse. Mine was Indian Take Away.
Somebody told me an old wives tale, if you suffer with heartburn, your baby will be born with a full head of hair, and he was. So many people also asked me when they saw him if I had heartburn during my pregnancy.

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aM9tt
The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.
heartburn the most common symptom of acid reflux disease (also known as gastroespohageal reflux disease, or GERD). Heartburn feels like a burning pain in the center of the chest. It is caused by acid from the stomach backing up into the esophagus. is a symptom of acid reflux disease (GERD) Also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

I am 19 weeks and getting very bad heartburn. I'm trying to eat more alkaline forming foods. Do a search to look these up. And try to identify foods that make it worse and avoid those.
Peppermint tea has also eased mine slightly and not eating a big meal in the evening.

Eat smaller meals more often.
Avoid trigger foods including highly acidic, spicy and fatty foods.
Avoid wearing tight clothing after eating which can worsen symptoms.
Chew fennel or sip an herbal tea with fennel in it which might reduce irritation.
Homeopathic remedies to try include Arsenicum 6c and Natrum Phosphoricum 6c taken three times daily.
Slippery elm powder (1 teaspoon) may also help ease burning and irritation. Try some added to your food or in tea.

I had really really really really bad heartburn. I drank milk and when that wasn't working, I got prevacid. It helps control your stomach acid. Ask your doctor about what else you can try and then ask about the prevacid, it has to be prescribed. Good Luck!!!

Because my heartburns were very bad, I was prescribed "ranitidine" for zantac. Other than that when you rest, prop yourself on several pillows, sleep on your left side, try to suck on ginger candies, eat meals without fluids. Eat in small amounts. apples are good! Avoid processed food (if possible). sometimes citrus juices killed me. Oh my! black anything with black pepper.

I drink a glass of cold milk, it will cool it down, and I take extra strong mints, they always work for me. I might need 1 or 2 depending on how bad it is.
