Is it ok to wear concealer on most of your face to cover acne scars and some pimples everyday for school?

ALSO:

When you are wearing concealer or foundation all over your face, do people notice? If so, who notices? Guys or girls?

If you have alot of acne scars, is it ok to wear alot of makeup to cover it up (for school)?


Will it ruin my skin? I'm 14.

I only have a few pimples. I use MAC studio finish and studio fix.

MAC cosmetics are really high quality so as long as you choose a shade that matches your skin tone, no one should notice you are wearing a concealer.

Be sure to wash if off well every night or you may cause yourself more trouble.

Yeah, it's fine and I can definitely relate. I had to go on accutane twice. The hardest thing with accutance is that your skin dries out AND breaks out at the same time so it makes it difficult to even wear concealer. So buy the clean & clear oil-free moisturizer (very inexpensive). Use that only on the dry areas. Next blend the concealer in over the big red marks, but not all the way in. Quickly dab a light oil-free base on several places, and then use your fingers to blend in everything. You may have to dab a bit more base to blend in some areas. Finally, cover with powder. Just make sure you blend everything in, so it is not obvious you are wearing tons of concealer. By the way, MAC is great, but if you cannot afford it, (I couldn't), you can use any type of oil-free base. I had it really bad too, because my skin is literally translucent. The good news is that your pimples will go away permanently and your skin will look much younger than anyone else due to the accutane. It's great. I look at least ten years younger than my friends. And guys don't notice. If a mean girl points it out (I had someone do this to me in junior high), just ignore her or check your face in your compact and put on some more powder. Voila! I wore makup everyday until I was 25 or so. Then I would cheat and not wear any. Now I don't need it at all. I might wear base if I go out at night, but again my skin is perfect now and everyone hates me (in a good way).

Try using the new Almay line clear complexion makeup they have concealers and foundation designed to clean uncomplicated acne while hiding it. Make sure your makeup DOES NOT CLOG PORES or you will have a lot of out breaks also don't pick at pimples the bacteria spreads from the broken skin and causes more out breaks!! (if you ever noticed they seem to come in groups) was your face with mild cleanser then always moisturize with Clean and Clear acne fighting cream. Good luck

Concealers clog your pores.
Girls notice before guys - girls are overly critical, young and old ones
I would say use Proactive also
I have used Bare Escentuals for over 3 years now, wonderful and light, does cover and is a lot better for your skin.

MAC's great, but seriously, try Proactive.
It works, and I use it. I seriously have no pimples/acne/anything!
Even after the pimples go away, still use Proactive daily, as it'll help stop the pimples from coming back.
When I was fourteen, I was in a similar situation.
Now you won't find a blemish on my face! Hahah!

Use Proactive and don't worry everyone has zits and pimples at that age. and yeah people do notice if you put a lot. and try to get the shade that is really close to your skin because i knew a girl who used concelar and it was darker than her real skin color and you could tell by the neck.

its ok to wear make-up but not every single day because of whats in make-up. like liquid foundtaion isnt the greatest foundation for your skin. but if you do decide to wear make-up to school everyday, make sure you're constantly taking care of your skin. its really bad to just wear make-up and not take care of your skin, cuz that will make it worse. but other than that, its ok.
