Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 November 2006

My period was due on Nov. 25th and it is two days late and I have not gotten it yet. I'm not sure if it's late cause my wedding in coming up at the end of this week or if I am pregnant. My breast have been sore for anywhere between 2 - 3 weeks now and have very minimal cramping. My lower back has been bothering more frequently lately too. It is rare that I feel sick, but every now and then I do in the moringings or late afternoons if I don't eat anything for lunch. I have one daughter and she will be 3 years old Dec. 17th, but I didn't know I was pregnant with her until I was like 2 1/2 months along. I have been wondering this time for at least two weeks now. Please give me some opinions on what you think I should do, take the test or wait until after the wedding. (Serious answers only!)

In the book What To Expect The First Year

The chapters of it go from

"Newborn"
"The First Month"
"The Second Month"
"The Third Month"
and so on......

It doesn't say "Your 1 month old." Just "The first month. So If my baby is 3 months old, should I be reading "The fourth month" since her first month was actually before she was officially one month old?

My daughter is 3 months old and she has a super soft little blanket it's a "lovie" type thing, only about an 8 inch square with a bunny's head...know what I'm talking about? Anyway, she likes to hold it when she's sleeping, right now I take it away when she goes to sleep but she wants it when she wakes up...when can I let her sleep with it?

My three month old has cradle cap, and she was born with a ton of long black hair. She is loosing her hair like crazy (I KNOW it's normal to a certain degree) But can cradle cap cause more hair loss in infants?

And also, I have started to use canola oil in her hair (more natural than baby oil), I have let it sit for an hour, then scrubed her head with a soft brush, then shampooed. I will do this every day.

Is there anything else you recommed (home remedies) NOT OVER THE COUNTER PRODUCTS. I cannot afford anything right now.

ok well im 13 and 5'6" and weigh about 155-160 at school i always get made fun of getting called a fat *** so what can i do and am i over weight plz help me.. i still fit in kids clothes as long as its a 18 plus size because of my legs being so muscular(from riding horses) and from being so tall. so what can i do? any info helps such as to loose weight, stop getting picked on, and any tips for clothes so i can be mor ein style??

my husband just got back from iraq, and he left when our son was 2 weeks old, so my son isnt use to him, when he gets here he wants to be alone with him so he can get use to him, but my baby is going to scream, and i dont want him to think i dont want him, what shoud i do???

i had sex for 1 minute with my bf....he came outside far from me (it was 1 min coz lots of foreplay if u must know) i took the morning after pill 9 hours later...i am expecting my period this week anyway...

is it normal if my period might come a bit late coz of th pills effect?
and im getting some white discharge - they say this is a normal effect from the pill....

what you think of the whole situation? what are the chances of getting pregnant?

To all of you how are trying to tell me how sorry they are for me for having an abortion you can kiss it!!!! I did not have an abortion i had a 12 week old fetus die inside of me and it wouldnt come out on its own. I had a very hard misscarrige.. So before you judge LISTEN!!!!!!! today is my due date and i went and had an ultrasound done and the baby is doing great and everything looks fine but when i talked to the dr he said that it's still too soon to induce,i'm not dialated yet and scheduled a non-stress test for thursday morning he said that since my baby is only 6lbs4oz he isn't going to push the issue even though i'm going past my due date has this happened to anyone else?

My girl started wearing a bra a month ago. She hated, said a bra sucks, makes her sweat (we live in Australia, it's hot) and so on. I'm a very understanding mom and she's a wonderful girl, but since I really think she needds a bra I used my authority. She complained, complained but I was firm."Sorry hun, but you need to wear o bra, so it's decided" . Of course I did this with much love and helped her chhose her bras. Well, though she's a very good and obedient girl, I got to know on this bra issue she's not obeying completely. She ended up confessing sometimes she takes off her bra and puts it on again before getting back home. She apologized, said it's because she doesn't like bras. I don't think this is something bad, just a childish think. Is this normal behavior? Anyway, I told her I didn't like, didn't want her to do it again and said I'd think if she'd be punished, From my reaction she could tell I wasn't that angry. But do u think a small lesson is in order? if so, what lesson?

Every time I get on Y!A theres atleast 4 or 5 question asking "am I pregnant" or "could I be pregnant." Do these people not realise that no one can diagnose pregnancy via the internet???? Arent you sick of the damn pregnancy questions already?

Hi there. My son is 14 1/2 months old. He is crazy! He moves the kitchen chairs out, climbs on them, and then climbs on the table. We go to playgroup and he gets up on their tables and runs around like a wild moneky man. All of the other kids listen to their parents and play quietly. Today we had to leave playgroup early because he wouldn't stop climbing into kitchen cabinets. (The house that we went to wasn't baby-proofed yet.)

He knows no means no, but when I say no he laughs and runs the other way when I try to catch him. I think 1 is way to young to spank. I just tell him "no" over and over and over again. Is there a better way to do it?

My nine year old daughter forged my name on a school homework assignment a month ago and was punished by having to do extra chores for a month...and was told that if I caught her doing it again, things would be much worse in terms of punishment. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and all throughout my pregnancy, my nipples have been very dry/cracked. I want to try to breastfeed, but have read that your nipples should not be this way. What should I do to try and get them healed prior to delivery?
