Typically the parnets set up the nickname, if you want him to be called DJ, start it as a child, if not call him Dylan--most people will go by what you nickname the baby, at least until he is old enough to make his own nickname up.

The only way people would refer to him as DJ is if he refers to himself as Dylan Jayce -- people like to shorten names. Some of my co-workers refer to me as GG because those are my initials, but I have never gone by that name outside of work and never told anyone to refer to me as GG at work. I think it will all depend.

people will call him whatever you want them to - and if they don't know his middle name is jayce, they can't decide to call him DJ. however, when he gets older, he may want to be called DJ by his friends, and you will have no say in the matter! i like DJ.

He might prefer to be called DJ. I don't think that when he's a baby that will be a problem unless you emphasize his "J" middle name.

Not if he goes by only one name or the other. Pretty much everyone has a middle name - but is pretty much everyone called by their first and middle initial? No, of course not.

Not unless he uses DJ himself or tells people to call him that.

Chances are yes...

Our second child has the name Tyler Joseph, people are always calling him TJ... I can't stand it! But HE loves it, so basically I'm stuck with it. I don't call him TJ, but everyone else does.

Who knows?
different people will attach different nicknames to him.
It's beyond your control really...You can suggest or ask that they don't, if they are family members....

Not sure why you're curious about this. Do you not want them to?
If not, thenh tell them or correct people who do......

They'll get the message eventually, hopefully...
