She is very smart, but has no desire to excel. All she wants to do is play and watch tv.

I have encouraged her, bragged on her, threatened her, bribed her, reverse psychologied her, and made deals with her, but nothing seems to work.

She just wants to goof off. She makes good grades, but she could do much better. For example, every week her teacher gives a list of spelling words to learn, along with 2 more difficult bonus words that are more challenging. She never wants to try to learn those for the extra credit! She just says, "we don't have to know those...." I remember always wanting my mom and teacher to be proud of me and trying to do everything I could for good grades. Any suggestions?

they send me to a saturady school every saturday to learn about religous things..i do enjoy but evryone is literally half the age and size of me!! im 14..and about 5''7 and the other people in the group are 4,5,6 and 7 and i look like the teacher or one of the parents!! ive tried talking to my parents and asking them to put me in a different saturday school with people my age and they dont listen.and when i say i dont wanna go they get so angry!! i find it so unfair because i look like a big plonker doing the same worksheets as them and the parents all look at me strangely when i sit down with them. please help. i dont know what to do anymore..i dont think they would enjoy the humiliation if they were in my shoes.

I have a2yr old boy and a 6mnth old girl, how do I stop my boy from being over boisterous with her, the more I move him from the situtation (this applies to ANY situation) he just keeps going back! he wont allow himself to be distracted, and I cant let it turn into a battle of wills-that just doesnt work! i'm at my wits end.He is really pushing the boundries! I felt my baby move for the first time around 15 weeks. The doctor says it is because I am very thin. I was 94 pounds and 5'4 when I got pregnant. So how many more weeks after you feel it will someone else be able to feel it. My hubby feels kind of left out. :P

I have a friend who just turned 17 this month. She's in the 12th grade. She is pregnant and she doesn't know how to tell her mother. She wants to get an abortion because she can't have a baby right now. But in the state of Michigan if you are under the age of 18 then you have to have parental consent. She is so afraid of what her mother might say and she doesn't have that much time because you can only have an abortion up to 24 weeks and she is already at 16 weeks. Please help us! What should we do and how can she explain this to her mother?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I am trying to figure out when and how to tell my five year old she is going to be a big sister. I also have an eight year old who already knows, but am not sure when the appropriate time to tell the little one. She is always saying how she is going to ask God to send us a baby to love but I'm not sure how she will react when she finds out we have one on the way.
