My youngest child is now 9 and her siblings are 27, 25, and 22 so when she was born we had a house full of teenagers. The songs she knew were mostly what her brother and sisters were listening to. The one song she loved to sing was a song called Brass Monkey by the Beastie Boys. When she was littler, about 3, they taught her how to sing Shake Your Booty complete with the bottom shaking dance moves. Very cute, but I tried to get in there with the ABC song and The Wheels on The Bus whenever the big sibs were off at school or work.

At 2 1/2 my son knew the words to "Little Red Riding Hood". We would get in the car and he would say "mommy play the wolf song" and then he would sit there and sing "hey there little red riding hood/you sure are looking good". He was so funny. He could sing the whole song and even put the wolf howls in there too. That was his favorite part. I listen to alot of 70's music, even though I was born in 1980. It is what I grew up listening to and I have always said that I was born too late, that I should have been a 70's child. We don't listen to any of the crap that they play these days, my kids are gonna grow up listening to 70's music just like I did.

my oldest is 19. when he was 4 he knew the words to Louisanna Saturday Night by Charlie Daniels, Don't Rock the Juke Box by Alan Jackson, and Diggin Up Bones by Randy Travis. He's still a big country music fan.

I knew every word of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meat Loaf when I was 4. Fortunately I was stupid and innocent enough to not have a clue what it was really about.

when my youngest stepdaughter was 4 she knew the words to 'burry my heart at wounded knee' (indigo girls) and would start crying while singing. (while still in tune - crazy) she's now 18 and still, it's her favorite song.
my oldests song when she was 4 was 'landslide' (fleetwoodmac) she's now 23. still her favorite and sings in tune.
the middle girl can't sing worth a poot. she plays any and all instruments and has never had a lesson. it's so cool to watch the family (their natural mother, too). one will start to sing. another will join in. one grabs a guitar. another starts in with the chorus. someone else grabs the (we call it) to go piano and everyone singing. WOW. (o.k. everyone except the middle girl)

Our 2 1/2 year old son sings along with the theme song to "That 70's Show." It is hilarious!!!! It's all alright, It's all alright, is his favorite part. He shouts it out while he dances and pumps his fists.

Enter Sandman by Metallica!!!!!! He was three at the time and sang the song in its entirety. The thing that is weird I'm not a MET fan so I know he never heard the song in my presence.

When I was 5 years old, I knew the words to Sex and Candy by Marcy Playground. No joke. I remember hearing it in the car after going to Chuck E. Cheese's, and me and my friend were fighting over whether he said the word 'sex' or not.
