Well that link is about breastfeeding. Talk to your doc but my doc told me that a glass of wine (1 glass) every now and then is actually good, it has antioxidants. I went out with friends while i was 7 months pregnant and had one small wine spritzer.. I had a women yell at me and say I was killing my unborn child right before she got in a car to drive and she was so drunk she could barely walk. Needless to say, I didnt let what she said bother me. My son is 18mo and very healthy!!!

The jury is out on this, but generally, people are told that there is no determined safe amount of alcohol while you are pregnant. I have been told that it's okay during late pregnancy to maybe have a drink since the baby has pretty much been formed.
I'm not sure I would want to risk anything at all.
I'm 14 weeks pregnant and will not touch a drop of alcohol until after this baby is out.
I don't want to jeopardize the safety of this baby either way.

I asked my doctor the same question (I am 7 months pregnant) and she said do not drink any alcohol. It depends on the doctor you ask as well, she said some of the older doctors that have been practicing for a long time will usually say it's fine. I wouldn't think that it would hurt, but I'm not taking any chances. 9 months without a drink is not such a sacrifice if your baby is healthy.

No, in fact in a poll took in a pregnancy magazine it said that most women drink on special occasions while pregnant. So if your only drinking one little glass of wine on occasions your baby should be fine just don't make it a habit.

The VERY occasional glass of wine or wine cooler can't do any damage even as pregnant - my Dr. had me on 3 glasses of purple wine a week through severe anemia complications - this looked as if it would remedy what ailed me yet i replaced into also monitored with bi-weekly NSTs even as ingesting the wine

Actually some doctors say that a glass of wine occassionally throughout your pregnancy is healthy. Obviously, that does mean ONE glass and not 2 or more. Ask your doctor to be safe.

I think that it would be fine, just on special occasions though. Dont make it a daily habit, and dont drink more than a small glass.
This would be a good question to ask your doctor.
