well my period is 3 days late well there normally all over the place and im just wondering cuz ive been trying for a baby now for 2 months. and im feeling slight period pains now for 3 days and theres no period my breasts are really hurting and have been for 3 days aswell so is it normal that if im pregnant should i still feel period pains and has any of you mothers felt like this

Right now I have a 2 year old cat who has been around children from the ages of a week old to their teens. I'm not too worried about introducing the baby to my cat, but I am 5 1/2 months pregnant now and I am considering getting a large dog - Rottweiler, Husky, Newfoundland, Labrador or a mix of one of the above (but I will get the dog when it is 8-12 weeks). I am moving into a house by myself and need a dog for protection/safety reasons being a single woman, pregnant and living on my own. I have had plenty of large dogs before and I do not need anyone's lecturing on large dogs and babies, I know how to train them and I have plenty of time to do so before the baby is born and will after as well. I also have a fenced in yard for the dog to run and play when he/she wants to be outside. I just need to know what other people have done to introduce a baby into a household with animals. Please, keep your negative remarks to yourself.

Im pregnant and do not wish to see the dad or have him in my house as he is abusive. If he goes through the courts, how long before it is sorted out. Im happy for him to see my child supervised and no member of my family want to see him, I don't want to see him as he is abusive and Im scared and I don't wish him to know where Im living as he'll stalk me.

Im also worried about non supervised access as I constantly had bruising while we together from his enthusastic hugging! My mother is worried he will break the new born's bones.

I had it twice in the last 4 days it looked like a clump of wet tolet paper kind of thick, but when pulled on it was really streachy and stringy. Then yesterday I had a glob of snot like mucus that was tinted brown it was quite a bit. Finally today I had a little more of the wet tolet paper looking one. Does this sound like a mucus plug? Ill be 34 weeks tomorrow. Never lost it with my daughter. So im confused, I just got a tests and i have no infections or anything, and last internal exam he said my cervix was deffinataly changing, but i was still high. what does this all mean?

Are there any studies that caffine effects a baby in utero? When I was pregnant with my son the Dr. said drinking a soda here or there was fine. But, later I was filling out an application for my son to get physical therapy and the woman asked "did you smoke,drink,do drugs,or have caffine during pregnancy?" I said "I had 1 soda every couple of weeks." And she circled YES for the whole question. Drinking a soda during pregnancy is not as bad as smoking, drinking, and doing drugs, right?

My baby girl is 6 1/2 weeks old and was born 10 weeks early. She is being breastfeed now and has a bad case of gas that smells really bad. Can someone help me out with this one please, if you have delt with this.

my ex have a 6 year old,and she is a brat.she lies,she used to do things she new it was wrong because she new my ex would get mad at me if i told her anything.she was always envious of everything my kids have.she would try to break their toys and my ex was always fine with her behavior.he always said,shes the girl,so we spoil he.theres no need to be tough on her i dont want her to b a tomboy.but man,we have two boys together,and when she was around,he even told my boys that she was a girl,and if she did anything to them,they couldnt hit her back.and then he always expected for me to stop doing everything for my kids,just to take care of her braty demands.the grandparents dont even want to babysit her.she lives with an aunt.what do you hink of 6 years old brats?

I'm a registered childminder from Nuneaton, Warwickshire who has vacancies and I need to advertise somewhere but cash is a little short so needs to be fairly cheap. My baby is 5 months old, and almost e verytime after she eats it seems she spits up. Its always when she burps or if you hold her up against you. Sometimes she doesnt spit up at all but the times she does outweighs the times she doesnt... what could it be?

My 15 month old detests baby food, she doesn't even like the stage 3 stuff, she seems to prefer to feed herself (food that she can pick up). What are some good nutritional on the go foods I can feed a toddler besides Mac and cheese and goldfish crackers? This is my first baby, so I am completely stupmed on this one. Thanks.

Im 12 weeks pregnant and have recently been getting headaches. I now they are a common symptom in pregnancy but I also know that they can indicate high blood pressure. At what point do u need to get checked out? after one? if they go on for a few days without rest? if they come and go over a period of time? what other things should i be looking for as well, that may indicate HBP? I don't want to go running to the doc for every little pregnancy symptom so am trying to disinguish between just a symptom and something more. Only experienced ladies to answer please.

and 39 weeks pregnant has been calling me crying as she can`t handle the backache any longer .She was at the midwife during the week and baby is lying with his back against her back which is absolute agony . She is a skinny little thing with a huge , huge bump ! Anyone got any advice i could pass on ? She has been doing floor exercises set by her midwife but this baby wont turn around . No answers about contraception and the likes if u don`t mind . Many thanks to serious repliers !

My daughter wants this toy. An aquaintance said she thinks you have to buy diapers and food over and over for the doll. That you have to trash the dirty diapers and not wash them and the food actually disappears and youll have to buy more. What is this? Another human baby for me to support or what?? Is thuis true or was she misinformed?

Alright I'm at Wal-Mart last night getting a few things. As I was leaving, there was this lady with her two kids. The little girl was probably 4 and the little boy was probably 1. Well it's about 40 degrees outside and all 3 of them are pretty well dressed--except for the fact that the 1 yr. old doesn't have shoes or socks on. He's outside in 40 degree weather with nothing on his feet. He's bawling and his feet are red. I'm just thinking to myself "How ignorant can you get?" I mean, it doesn't take a genius to figure out "Hey, it's cold out. Might wanna put something on my kid's feet before we go." It's not like they were poor or anything. They had a nice car, kids were dressed nicely, they weren't dirty, etc. so I'll give the mom the benefit of the doubt there. But really--how stupid can you get? That 4 yr. old little girl could probably figure it out better than her mom that "I think baby brother needs some shoes on.." What do you think about parents like that?

me and my bf have been trying 4 a baby 4 10 months now, i was on the pill for 8 years, came of it 10 months ago, some ppl av told me all diff stories, 1 pers sed it takes 2 yrs to get the pill out of ur system, another person told me it was 6 months, does anybody out there actually know? i have been taking folic acid supplements but they nothin just seems 2 b happening, i dnt think neither of us were infertile cos my bf has a son and i was pregnant a few yrs back but i lost it when i was 6 months ahead? Does n e 1 have n e suggestions.

I am 20 and my husband is 21, we have 2 lovely children together and we both work so hard, and we are not on any benifits, I have loads of mates who are my age and living of the social, yet they always seem to have more money then us all the time, they get their rent paid, they dont work, they get free milk and crisis loans from the social whenever they need to. I lost my purse a few months back with lots of cash in it and also my bank card, i asked the social for a crisis loan to tie us over untill we get paid, and they said i am not entitled to one as i work! It seems the people that go out to work all day have nothing, yet all these people that cannot be bothered to get jobs have load. What is going on!!??
Also i know that not all people are like this and that some cant work due to health problems etc.. but most people i know are in the same boat as me, so they could actually go out to work its just that they are being lazy.

I was 11 weeks on Friday when I had my ultrasound, I am 12 now today, but the doctor said that he was a boy! I was so surprised, I didn't know you could tell at 11 weeks, all I have ever read said the sexual organs aren't fully developed until like the 13 week. The doctor kept pointing out his little parts, and it sure looked like that was what it was, but he didn't say that I was any further along than I was. Have any of your doctors been able to tell this early at 11 weeks?

My first instinct says no, because the woman may not know she's pregnant. But then I thought about how the pill can have an effect on the unborn child, even if you do not know you're pregnant. Can anyone clear it up for me?
