I am 20 and my husband is 21, we have 2 lovely children together and we both work so hard, and we are not on any benifits, I have loads of mates who are my age and living of the social, yet they always seem to have more money then us all the time, they get their rent paid, they dont work, they get free milk and crisis loans from the social whenever they need to. I lost my purse a few months back with lots of cash in it and also my bank card, i asked the social for a crisis loan to tie us over untill we get paid, and they said i am not entitled to one as i work! It seems the people that go out to work all day have nothing, yet all these people that cannot be bothered to get jobs have load. What is going on!!??
Also i know that not all people are like this and that some cant work due to health problems etc.. but most people i know are in the same boat as me, so they could actually go out to work its just that they are being lazy.

I totally agree with you hun, it's so disheartening.............

I am a single working mum and know alot of people on bens who seem to have a hel of alot more money than me and to be honest it pisses me off no end.
But I can open my front door to anyone and I'm not afraid of being caught as I'm not doing anything wrong at all!

Everything my kid needs I buy, I pay my own rent, pay gas lecky etc etc etc

These people are just leeches

Don't ever feel envious of these peopel cos they have no morals and their kids will just grow up like they are. At least we are teaching our kids good morals and values and that they have to work to get on etc.

You will come out on top girl!!!

I know how you feel my friend and it annoys me too. many years ago whilst collecting my children from school which was rare as I worked I was horrified at how some scam the state. They knew every trick in the book for scaming and the favourite one was saying they lived on their own and did not know father however father lived in a flat across the road which was like her all paid for rent/council tax but EMPTY! He lived with her unbeliavable as you say so annoying. Not everyone is like that and the ones who are must be fiddling left right and centre as benefit sytem is a lot harder now for scaming.
I have daughter on benefit due to disability and it is poor money trust me.
I have always worked even as a single mom and the only comfort I can give you is at least you can go to bed with a clear concience and walk out your door with head held high.
So sorry about your purse that is rot and must have been hard .
We run our own business and trust me there are times we just about manage to pay the morgage and we get no help so I do understand

I agree. I know of people like that too, they have learnt to work the system, they truly believe it is their right and everyone seems to bend over backwards to help. Then there are the geniune people who should be entitled and they get nothing. I don't know what is going, but it's about time they sorted it out so that the system is run fairly. Because of these scroungers, the real geniune people who should be claiming are not getting what they are entitled and expected to live on £40 a week. It's like a 2-tier society in the Social benefit system. Sorry to hear about your purse.

That is sooo true, i'm on disibility allowence, but i was still out there working part time cos i didn't want 2 b a dosser, it seems ppl who r lazy and cab't b bothered 2 go and get a job, and they claim the dole and get more stuff then what working ppl shud get get, the system is so unfair i've almost had it with the government. i sympathise with u cos u got 2 kids and u just wanna b able 2 provide them with all the things they and need. Your better of leaving work, claiming the dole and child benefits u'll b so much better of and u'll get free prescriptions and things like that lol

not sure where you live, but in the united states our systems are all messed up. they benefit the people who want to be lazy, sit around all day, not work, and just keep having children. i work with this one girl who has 2 children by 2 different fathers. she gets a huge amount back on her taxes, food assistance, health care, and everything else for free. my hubby and i actually did the right thing and got married when i become pregnant. they say that we make too much money for any kind of assistance even though we have to both work full time jobs and i have a part time job.

I've seen the same thing happen again and again. You're right, it is totally unfair and unreasonable but the people who make these decisions are only doing what they've been told to do. Their brains are nowhere to be found. If some celebrity or extremely wealthy person starting getting concerned about this, changes might actually occur, but the average person seems to be totally without a voice in this arena because nobody is listening to us.

I feel exactly the same as you both me and my husband work and have 2 children and it really gets on my **** when i see people who can't be botherd getting off their arses to work and sit back get their rent paid, reduced council tax, free prescriptions, free dental treatment and anything else thats going, while we have to pay for ours.
I've hard people say that they are better off not working and you wonder who the daft ones are and when you think about it who would want to work of they were better off not working. While we may have more coming in we also have more going out than these scroungers,i always get so mad when i think about it.

I know what you mean and it too drives me crazy. but at the end of the day me and hubby can say that "we" did this. Not the state or anyone else. We worked hard to get our house our funishings and the clothes on our kids' backs. And to tell you the truth it feels good. Keep up the hard work it will pay off in the long run.

It pays to be lazy in this country. You say your not on benefits, do you get child tax credits and working tax credits? If you don't I would strongly advise applying for them because if you get working tax, any amount, you will then be entitled to free nhs dental treatment, prescriptions, and I think help towards optical. Give it a go , you never know what you may be entitled to.

You can be assured you will have a rock solid family all your values are right, i know sometimes life doesn't seem fair but you will come out of it for the better . Some of these cheats on benefits have no true values , smoke , drink and eat crap food , give their kids a really bad start which they think is the norm. and so the circle goes on. Hang on in there, its worth it.
