Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 November 2006

How come there's a 'trying to concieve' category in the pregnancy group but no abortion assistance one? There isn't one in womens health either.

Is our society so child-centric and anti-choice that we give an open forum for teenagers trying to breed, but none for responsible people who want to make an informed choice about their body?

I have a friend with a 3 year old and a 6 month old and she can just wake up in the morning and say to herself,"I think I'll go get my nails done, stop by and see a friend then hit the grociery store on the way home."
And she just seems to breeze her way through the day without any set backs!
Me on the other hand I have to plan eveything around medications, naps and try to get help. Granted I have 3 under 2, but leaving the house is just so darn hard for me! I dread doctor visits and going to the bank with my kids because something always happeneds;
poop or throw up, insane fits, injuries, ect. Why is this? Do you feel the same way?

Before you answer, I'm a girl I just have a guy advatar.
I told my friends that I want until I'm 25 to have sex. I'm 15 now and I want to be completely ready. I will have sex if I am married before then, but people say that I'm taking it too far. I will have boy friends but I just won't sleep with them unless I'm completely, completely sure that they're not just there for sex and we have to be togrther for a looooooooooooooooong time. But I have two questions.
Am I taking sex too seriously with the age thing and all?
And is it true that if I accomplish my goal and be a virgin until the age of 25, no man would want me because they would want a more experienced woman?(A boy told me that, but he was trying to convince me to loose my virginity at the same time. And no he wasn't my boyfriend. But I just want to know if that's true.)

my niece is 2 and a half will be 3 the end of may and still sucks her binky. It looks ridicoullous and my sister says its better than hearing her cry. I say deal with it. I do with my 8 month old son. I took his binky away from him at 3 months. please tell me there are no mothers out there who let their 1-2-3-4 years old have a binky?? infants are o.k. to have one but not walking age.

When I'm around my friends or my family I'm not shy at all. I can laugh and have fun. But when I'm around people that I'm not really friends with I'm kind of shy. I did the ovulation calendar for this month and it said i would ovulate from Oct 27 to Nov 2. Me and my partner have been at it for two weeks everyday. I miss only one day Oct 30.

ok so my boyfriends sister who is a little younger than i has a baby and i see how my boyfriend gives her attention i mean of course he's the uncle right. Well the daddy isnt in the picture and i feel that the baby is seeing my boyfriend as a dad. I feel jealous because i want a baby and he always tells me were too young and we have to get our career started and this and that but i wish he would give the attention he gives to the baby to our own. I dont know its driving me crazy and i feel horrible for being jealous. Is it right what im feeling?

How long does it take for a little boys foreskin take till it heals? And how can a person make it heal faster with out hurting the poor little guy.
My nephew is just turned 3 and hes always touching himself, so Im thinking it is healing but then when my Sister put polysporn on it or what ever he complains that it hurts or tickles. The doctor says if there isn't any change soon they'll have to cercumsise him. What should a person do?

ever since my 7 year old son has seen the xmen movie he thinks he has super powers. i have tried to tell him he doesnt, but he doesnt believe me. OK...there is the boy named josh kelley in my school and i feel really bad for him....even if he is kind of gross. he wears the same clothes everyday, has the most buckest teeth you could ever see (they stick practically straight out) and has ears that have black stuff in them! but everybody teases him and i feel bad...what should i do about it? if i stick up for him and be his friend, ill be a nerd. but i dont want to be his friend, i just want to make sure he isnt teased anymore. and the worst part is that this guy i think is hott teases him a lot...and i dont think he is worth liking. what do you think? and what should i do about josh? should i just leave him alone or stick up for him?

my son will be 3 in feb, i've started potty training, but i'm having more accidents than hits! today i got through 4 pairs of pants and trousers from 8 till 12 this afternoon. i've two other children that i had no problem training but my son is bloody stubborn! lol he doesnt even seem to notice that he's soiled himself, i've tried bribery, i do the massive amounts of praise thing, i dont scream and shout at him and expect the odd accident, but he just doesnt seem bothered. i dont want to turn this into a battle but short of chaining the little monkey to the toilet, (joke) i'm running out of ideas. help me good people of answers!

My period is just over a week and a half late so, as I'm usually very regular, I took a home digital test and it was positive (or rather it said 'pregnant' on the display) After recovering from the shock and picking myself up off the floor, I made an appointment for today with a local clinic to make sure. They did two tests which both came back negative.
Is it common to get false positives on home tests? I absolutely followed the directions and made sure I'd done everything correctly. The clinic has made another appointment for me in two weeks, in case my period still hasn't started by then.

My other half and I always use condoms with spermicide and after he checks that they haven't leaked. If I am pregnant, it happened towards the end of my cycle when I was due to start my period, I know you can get pregnant at any time during your cycle, but realistically what are the chances of it happening then? I'm just wondering if it might just be stress that's causing me to be late!

She has always been wary of dogs for no reason that we can think of but just lately she is terrified and panics completely when she sees a dog. Now she is scared if there is a dog on the other side of the street. She has seen us around dogs and no one else in the family has a problem with them. We have tried to introduce her very friendly, quiet dogs and she used to approach them but now seems more upset than ever. I have tried to keep calm and talk to her about it and get her to tell us what her fears are exactly. I am find it increasingly difficult to keep calm about this and have run out of ideas on how to deal with it. Any suggestions gratefully received.

i am on clomid from cycle day 7-11 (my dr. said that since it's so close to when my period ended it is ok to do this). it is the 8th day today and i am still bleeding from my last period (i've been bleeding a total of 9 days). yesterday i thought that the bleeding stopped but it's 3 pm today and i'm still having that faint bleeding. does anyone know what this can be from?
