How long does it take for a little boys foreskin take till it heals? And how can a person make it heal faster with out hurting the poor little guy.
My nephew is just turned 3 and hes always touching himself, so Im thinking it is healing but then when my Sister put polysporn on it or what ever he complains that it hurts or tickles. The doctor says if there isn't any change soon they'll have to cercumsise him. What should a person do?

When my son's were born, we decided not to have them circumcized. The Dr. said to just keep gently pushing back on the foreskin to loosen it. He said that it would eventually work its way off this way. If it's infected, keep putting the polysporin on it. It "tickles" because that is a very sensitive area. My husband said that it's a feeling of such extreme sensitivity that it's close to pain....if you can get the meaning of that. My youngest son's foreskin doesn't go all the way back and his pediatrician said that it wouldn't be a problem. It will eventually go back, even if it takes till puberty. Unless there are very serious problems like being unable to urinate, I wouldn't have him cut on. And him touching himself is just a little boy thing. My 4 y/o does it all the time. Good luck!!

You should NEVER force a boy's foreskin back! NEVER! Most foreskins do not become fully retractable until puberty. Many doctors in the United States are ill-equipped to deal with intact children, because it wasn't the norm until just very recently.

It takes about a week, just make sure you put the neosporin and a piece of gaze so you don't get an infection

All 3 of my neighbors boys kept their extra skin. I want to vomit every time their diapers are changed, gross.
