Age is only a number so it depends on the 14 year old. Generally i would say that 14 year olds are not prepared to have a child because of the HUGE responsability this represents. Emotionally-you have to be willing to put yourself last and dedicate yourself to this baby. Economically-you must be able to feed , clothe, support this baby. Physically--you must be ready to let go of yourself and give of your "beauty sleep" alone time and fun time to be shared and just given to this baby--so it is really up to you--if you want to know more maybe you should speak to your parents and get you a pet or a baby-doll and you should try walking through the steps of being a parent--don't try it yourself!!!

Emotionally and mentally, 14 y/o is absolutly too young. Physically it is possible, but there are many, many more things to consider. Financially, you could not make it on your own. The baby would suffer if you struggled to raise him/her alone. You would suffer as well. If you have family to support you , eventually you would begin to want your "life" back, and you may resent your child, or even your family for helping you to raise the child. So to answer your question, YES 14 is way too young to have a baby.
Hope this helps.

14 is way to young. I was 17 when I had my daughter and it was not easy. I got thrown into growing up and taking on all that responsibility, I dropped out of school (went back later and finished) and had to start working 12 hours a day to pay for the baby and myself and bills like babysitter. I love my daughter very much and would do it all again, but I would advise anyone to wait till they grow up and finish school. And get the partying and having fun out of your system before having a baby, and be ready to settle down and raise a healthy baby.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait till you are out of school and have a good full time job and have some money saved up. Then if you still want to have a child go for it til but at the age of 14 your body is just not ready for something like that. You are just starting to become a young woman. Give your body time to grow and for everything to calm down.

Not at all.
I've had friends who at 14 and 15 were having children. And let me say, their alot better parents than my mother ever was for me.
It depends on the maturity level, not the age, and quite frankly it hurts to hear all the lies people spread about teenage pregnancy.
1) It's possible to still continue school and graduate with a child.
2) Sure, they need a helping hand sometimes ( money-wise, daycare - wise ) But honestly, what's the difference between a 39 year old mother and a 14 year old mother who need help? There ISN'T.
3) It does not Physically harm the 14 year old at all to have a child.

I think 14 is very young and at that age girls should allow themselves to figure out alittle more of what they want to do with thier lives before having children, a 14 year old is still a child herself

YES! Way too young! A 14 year-old can't even get a drivers license or get a job. They are completely dependant on others, and therefore should not be raising babies.

I would say YES! Your not even old enough to have a job, so what makes you think you can afford to have a baby? However if your already Pregnant I would not abort the baby, you do have options. I would choose adoption or Maybe your parents will help you raise your child, If my daughter got Pregnant I would help her so if your already Pregnant you might want to speak with your Parents. Every child deserves to live.

in my opinion yes 14 is wat too young!
i had my 1st baby last december i was 23 and i still sometimes struggle with being a mother and i am in a defacto relationship, have my own house and all the help i want if i need it!
at 14 i dont believe you could be possibly ready for the challenges ahead no matter how mature or responsible you may feel!
