Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 October 2006

My husband and I recently found out that we are pregnant after 3 years of marriage. About 4 months after finding out this wonderful news, we recieved a call from his brother telling us that he had run off and gottan married. He told us that he and his new wife would be planning a LARGE wedding in the spring. They finally set a date for this large wedding to be only a week after my due date. I have now been asked by his family to talk to my doctor about doing a scheduled C-Section on a date that would make it easier for his family to visit the baby, and attend this wedding. I feel outraged that this was even asked to me, For one thing the health of my child should always come first. 2. he is already married and this wedding is all for show, and gifts. I'm just wondering what other people would do in this situation, and how you would react to your in-laws wanting this from you.

I get tired of repeating myself everyday. I always have tell her to think before she ask and pay attention before she do things. I have her write & read a paragraph everyday to remind her to make less mistakes, but still she doesn't think or pay attention resulting in common sense mistakes and me repeating myself constantly. I don't think she even paying attention to what she is reading! Its been 3 weeks and she still do these things.

What can I do to get her to think, listen and pay attention?

sometimes she wont go to sleep untill 9 at night no matter what we try and then sum nights she still gets up at 2 and 4 most mornings she gets up at about 5 30 i think this is still early for a 2 year old what do u think ? please help i need loads of ideas i wana try everythingi can. she is very active in day as she goes to playschool so i cant see why she isnt tired

I have a beutiful 5-year old daughter who is terrified of wind/rain/storms. I have tried everything I know of to help her. The fear consumes her at all times. She ask dozens times aday about what the weather is today. Her teacher has had to call me several times to pick her up from school. She vomits, has potty problems and will not sleep in her room if there is so much as a cloud in the sky. any advice would be appreciated.

I had a misscarriage in May and have been trying ever since. I just took a test this morning and the second line showed up. It was lighter in color then the 1st but it says that means its positive. I called the Dr's but have not heard back. Do they usually have you come in right away for blood work or anything else?

My 2 1/2 year old son attends a preschool class 3 mornings a week for 3 hours. He loves the school, but his teacher has told me that he doesn't listen, doesn't listen during story time and now she said he's unfocused. Is this age appropriate behavior? I feel like this is normal, but since she continues to tell me these things (which I feel are negative) I'm starting to worry. Is there anything I can do at home to get him more focused???

The guy likes me, I know, Cause he's my suitor few weeks past. When my friend's asked the guy who will he choose. My friend ask Me or Leslie (my other friend) The guy said Leslie. Does anyone know if its true that if you drink a lot of whole milk while pregnant your fetus will gain wieght? I went to doc for 30 week scan yesterday and baby is measuring about 32 weeks and is almost 4 pounds. They think because he is big he will come early. I want to know if drinking milk will help increase his weight for early birth?

I am finding out to day if I am getting the job I interviewed for on Tuesday. I am pretty confident I will get offered a position with the company in some capacity. I also just found out that I am pregnant, 4 weeks along. This is my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth if all goes well, so I will show a little earlier than usual. Should I try to hide it until the "probation period" at the new job has passed, or be upfront about it?

Yesterday I went to the doctor.....and was told that she was gonna do another ultrasound......I was excited to see my baby again! She said everything was looking fine and growing normally. She also said that she looks to be about 4lbs right now and I am 32 weeks.......this is my first so not to sure about all this....but since she is only 4lbs now will she end up being a big baby or a small baby?
