Ultrasounds from my experience have always said the baby was smaller than they actually were. The baby will start gaining about a 1/2 lb a week in the last few weeks so you will most likely have an average size baby as you still have 8 weeks or so to go.

You still have 2 months to go and your baby will start to put on "brown fat" during his last month inside you. So.....it's kind of hard to tell right now how large or small your baby will be at this point. My son weighed 5 lbs 14 oz when he was born, but he was 21 inches long! He looked like a baby from a third world country - huge head, ribs showing and not an ounce of brown fat anywhere! He finally starting looking like 'the Gerber Baby" when he was 2 months old, and that's because the pediatrician had me feeding an ounce of formula every hour on the hour because he was so skinny. So - I said all that to say this - you definitely want your baby to be a little chunky when he's born - they are soooo cute with those adorable dimples everywhere! I wish you a safe and healthy deliver and baby - God bless!

Towards the end of pregnancy the baby will gain a half a pound to a pound a week, So dont worry. She will probably be a normal 7 to 8 lb baby sounds like.

That's perfectly normal. At 35 weeks, my baby weighed about five pounds. At month nine, she should be gaining about 1/2 lb. a week. She will probably end up being 7 pounds and some ounces and that's absolutely perfect. Don't worry :)

My neighbor had her baby at 4 lbs 11 oz and my son was 7 Ibs 11 oz and he is just a little taller than her, and he is younger, but every child is different, four pounds at that age is good, your baby might be 6 or 7 Ibs

A small sized baby. Maybe around 6Ib or something? So thats a normal healthy weight. Still small though... compared to my baby boy when he was born. He was 9Ib 7. so be grateful that your not having to push out a 9pounder or bigger. LOL Im sure your baby will be beautiful too!

In the last few weeks babies grow about 1 pound per week. I think you and baby will do just fine!
Congratulations!

They really won't be able to tell until right at the end, she could gain a lot of weight in the last couple of weeks as she gets ready to be born
