it's normal..
and you have to be very careful the 1st 3 months because they are the most critical.

no carrying heavy stuff especially.
go to your doc so that they can confirm the pregnancy.. don't tell your husband until you know for sure that you are pregnant.
good luck !!

There are many causes for spotting early in pregnancy. For instance, when the fertilised egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus, you may experience some implantation bleeding, which is usually light and lasts a day or two. Spotting also takes place if you have a vaginal infection, a somewhat irritated or inflamed cervix (you may bleed a bit after a cervical smear, for instance), or a cervical polyp, a benign growth.

But spotting can also be an early sign of miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, especially if accompanied by abdominal pain or cramping. And in the third trimester bleeding or spotting can signal a condition called placenta previa, placenta abruptio (whereby the placenta separates from the uterus), or premature labour.

spotting during early pregnancy is actually pretty common. But, you should call and make an appt with your doc as soon as you can. I may be a few weeks before you can get in, so call asap! Congrats!
OH, and buy the book "what to expect when you're expecting" It is great and will have answers to many of your questions!

Staining is not uncommon but I would call your OB just in case. Sometimes it stops. Other times it can be an indicator of a miscarriage. Also, some pregnancies create a discharge throughout the pregnancy. Talk to your MD.

You should call your doc. But this haoppened to me too and it was just some spotting which can happen during pregnancy. Call your DR. It can't hurt and they will probably just let you speak to a nurse over the phone. But better safe than sorry.

I'm having the same brown spotting & menstrual like symptoms...cramping and sore breasts. My last period was Sep. 16, 2006 but I don't know if its my menstrual cycle trying to start or if its implantation bleeding meaning I'm pregnant.

I too had this, I went to the Emergency Room and had alot of testing. It turned out to be implantation bleeding, but really you should go to a doctor.

This happened to me, too. I freaked out, but my OBGYN said it was perfectly normal. As long as you're not bleeding bright red blood, things should be ok. But if you're really concerned, call your doctor. That's what she's there for :)

very light spotting is normal.. but if you are pregnant and there is more than spotting that may be signs of a miscarriage so for that u need to go to the dr. but very light spotting is normal.

Sometimes you can still have a small amount of bleeding or if you have had sex this can brusie the cervix and you can bleed. If you still are concerned contact your dr.
