since you had a m/c you can ask to go and see then straight away . I am in the same boat you are also able to ask for early ultra sound if you think you might need it... ring the doctor back up and tell them what the situation is. if they say you need to wait until week 8 or 9 for your first check up tell them you recently m/c and would be more comfortable seeing the doctor and getting blood test early.. good luck and congrats

If your doctor refuses to see you until 12 weeks, find a new one. There seems to be a growing trend not to see patients until they're past the 1st trimester. But, most m/c happen then, don't wait around. Be proactive and get the medical care you need. If for no other reason, it will give you peace of mind! Congrats on your pregnancy. I had a m/c last Easter, I know how scary it can be to try again.

Depending on your ob they will probably have a blood test done to confirm pregnancy before they schedule an appointment with you. For my first baby my first appt was at 13 weeks. For my 2nd baby I had a meeting with the OB nurse as soon as my blood test came back positing then an actual appt with the ob doc at about 13 weeks.

My OB didn't have me come in until I was about 12 weeks along. I myself went to a health clinic after I took a home pregnancy test just to have them do the test also. I wanted to make sure I was before I saw a doctor.

Yeah the Dr's office will have you get all of the usual bloodwork done so I would expect to be seen on their next available appointment. Congratulations. Good luck.

For me, they sent me for bloodwork right away, to see what my levels were, and my first appt was at 12 weeks, but they said if I had any concerns in the meantime to call and they would get me in. That was over 2 years ago though.

It is important to see your doctor as soon as you know you are pregnant. They will do routine blood tests for immunity to diseases, blood group, infections etc, as well as check your weight and bp. They will also want to discuss your diet and lifestyle, support at home and general wellbeing. Good luck on your journey towards a beautiful healthy baby!

Tell them your circumstances (the miscarriage). This should prompt them to take you a bit more seriously. You need to get to the doctors and get a check up to make sure everything is ok. They will also do a more accurate test. Good luck!! :)
