I took one depo. It took me a year and a half to get pregnant. I didn't have my period until three years after I took my last shot. (after I had the baby). So yes you can get pregnant w/o having periods. I actually had started my period while I was pregnant--like right after I got pregnant. The doctors said it wasn't a "period" but it still was a lot like one. Talk to a fertility specialist and he/she could get you on drugs to help regulate your period. I don't like the shot and would never ever advise anyone to ever get it.

I am not sure about getting pregnant while still under the effects of the hormones given through the Depo Shot, but I do know that you CAN get pregnant before you have a period. That is why you get your period. Because you have ovulated and the egg went unfertilized. My 2nd daughter was conceived a month after I stopped nursing my oldest daughter. I hadn't had a period in months due to nursing and we were trying for a baby and 3 1/2 weeks after we started trying I was pregnant with NO period in sight. My doctor confirmed all of this. Hope this helps.

Okay first off to MARISSA P what in the hell were you doing during health class? Your eggs are NOT released into the vagina they are released into the fallopian tubes where fertilization takes place. You CAN ovulate and get pregnant without having a period. I have 2 sister in laws to prove that! Neither of them had a period for over a year. I think that you should first go to a doctor and find out why you haven't had a period in a year. You may have PCOS or some other medical problem. I know that it takes time to regulate your periods after coming off of birth control but I think 10 months is a lot more time than needed. Seek a good ob/gyn and good luck if TTC.

I was on the depo shot after I had my two children and then we decided to have another one so I got off the shot and it took us 6 years to get pregnant again. It took me quite awhile to get my period back too. We went to a couple of different dr's to help us and finally it worked when they put me on the pill for 6 months, I conceived immediately. I wish they told me that a few years ago.

If you are using the Depo Shot how is it that you think that you could be pregnant?
Didn't they tell you when you got the shot that you probably would not have a period?
When did you have your last shot?
If you have been having the shots on a regular basis it is almost impossible for you to be pregnant.
If you have been having the shots irregularly then it is important that you speak to a health care professional before you have another one.

NO, you can't because in order to get pregnant you need a period, in which your cycle, puts the egg down in the vigina, in which it can get fetilized, and you can become prgenant
