I am finding out to day if I am getting the job I interviewed for on Tuesday. I am pretty confident I will get offered a position with the company in some capacity. I also just found out that I am pregnant, 4 weeks along. This is my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth if all goes well, so I will show a little earlier than usual. Should I try to hide it until the "probation period" at the new job has passed, or be upfront about it?

I would not tell them yet. Although, pregnancy is not supposed to be a determining factor in the hiring or firing of any employees I think we all know that it does play a big factor at times. Wait until the end of your first trimester. I have known plenty of people already in the job that wait until the end of the first trimester simply because that is when you are definitely pregnant and at less of a risk for early term miscarriages.

I too was pregnant with my first child when I began a new job and was very nervous about telling them about my condition. However, I looked up my state laws and was informed that I didn't have to disclose my pregnancy until 14 weeks along. And I did so... at 14 weeks I told my boss I was pregnant and she laughed because the woman in the office sitting right next to me that they just hired was pregnant too.

So if your extremely nervous like I was do some research and find out exactly when you would have to inform them. Although companies are not suppose to discriminate against hiring you while pregnant it doesn't mean they won't.

some people don't find out they are pregnant until week 8 so you could always tell them when you are 8 weeks that you only just found out since your cycles are irregular. That way at 8 weeks you have more chance of not have a m/c (heaven forbid).
just make sure when you do tell them that you really enjoy the job and want to continue on until you give birth and soon after ( if that is what you want tell them your intentions truthfully....... I'm not sure were you are but in the UK you don't need to legally tell them until you are 15 weeks. so its entirely up to you.. good luck and congrats

I would wait until you know things are good, maybe 6 weeks and then tell them. I got hired and kept it from my work until I was 6 months, luckily they didn't mind. I felt so guilty though that it started to stress me out. Then I just got pregnant with my 4th and I knew for about a week and then I ended up losing it. So if the stress won't bother you I would wait until you got a for sure your pregnant from your dr. Congratulations, and Good luck.

Tell them. They need to know they can depend on you. Reassure them you will be coming back to work after you have the baby and the job means alot to you. Make sure they know you are in the job for the long haul.
The company should work with you. If they feel you are defintely the right person they need, then they will keep you on.

Good Luck!

I would wait until i have been working for a least 30days, they cant discrimination because you are pregnant but they may find another reason of not to hire you so keep it quiet for a while. when you do tell act like you just found out.

I hate saying it, but i would hide it. Although it is illegal they may find some other reason not to hire you or to fire you if they find out, I would wait to secure yourself. GOOD LUCK with the job and baby.
