My son is in 1st grade and has already been involved in 2 fist fights. (one he didn't start) He continues to throw fits and not listen to his teacher. This doesn't happen daily just every once in awhile. What possibly could be wrong with him. He also throws fits at home.

I read an answer on Y! A that got me thinking.

What do you think about a father who has a child, and he works 2 jobs so his wife can be a stay at home mother?

He would never see his child, what good is that?

Yeah the kid has his mother home all day with him, but then he doesn’t even know his own father!

Wouldn’t it be better if the parents work 40 hours each outside the home, and spend all of their free time with their child?

Then the child would know BOTH parents!

I personally think its hypocritical to say that a child needs his MOTHER at home, but then to have the father never home.

Some fathers are 10x better parents then mothers.

Children need a father just as much as they need a mother!

If you don’t believe me then go to a strip club, most of those women never had their fathers around!

My husband could work 80 hours a week so I could stay home, but then he would miss out on being a father and our marriage would be affected.

What do you think?

Of course, every man thinks the woman pregnant with his own child is beautiful; I mean, in general, sexual/romantic attraction to a woman (perhaps in her third trimester, even) that one may spot in public or at a social event. Is this weird or not?

My son is 13 months old and just moved to the walker room. In the past week he has been bitten 3 times by the same child and the daycare directors don't seem to think that there is any reason to be concerned. I've put my sons name on the waiting list at 3 other daycares with stricter rules on biting but what can I do until he can go to another facility?

My beautiful little girl is almost a month old and is having a really hard time passing gas/stools and is in so much pain that she cries through bottles and continues to cry for almost an hour, sometimes longer afterward.
My Dr. is having us switch to Similac Alimentum...after having tried EVERYTHING else. I was just wondering if anyone uses this and what you think of it. We JUST went and bought it, she hasn't had any of it yet. Just curious to know what other moms think of it and whether or not it might help!
Thanks!!
(And just so you know, cause I KNOW someone will make this comment...I tried to breastfeed and I do not produce enough)

I'm curious about what other stay-at-home moms do all day--other then look after your kids?

What consider your duties?

If you could write a job description what would it say?

He's 3.5 months old and is a good sleeper. He loves napping in his carseat-stroller, or in his bouncy seat, swing etc. But I've just read that I should be putting him into his crib for naps. Since he naps 3-4 times a day I dread crib naps b/c it means I'll be tied to my apartment for most of the day. Experienced moms, any insight?

How do I get my 25 month old to keep her diaper on at bedtime and nap time. When she is awake right now she just wears a t-shirt because we are potty training. When we put her to sleep she's taking off her diaper. Should I just be putting traing pants on her I have no idea what to do.

I knew somebody who had the ability to stay home with her children. She hired a live-out nanny who was there with her kids from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm while she spent most of that time at the country club. Then she had another babysitter who was at her house at least 3 nights per week while she and her husband went out. On weekends the babysitter was there again - often to watch the kids at the pool at the country club (actually not too bad of a deal). Now, this person insisted on calling herself a stay at home mother. Now, since I am one and I know the work that we do, I look back on this and wonder...what did she do?
This is not a slam against working mothers or a jealousy issue. I just wonder if someone who does not work but hires someone to raise her children should call herself a SAHM which gives others the illusion that SAHMs have so much time on their hands.

My wife is about 36 weeks. Is this normal for 36 weeks? He said that the doctors look for that. So does it mean that she has already went through "lightnening" and the baby is already "head down"? And in the right position for birth (not breech). And is that okay or is it too early for this? How long (on average) after the baby has "settled" does it take for labor to begin? Or does it even have anything to do with labor?

If someone finds out their baby has a fatal birth defect and will either die sometime during the pregnancy or at the time of birth, do you think it's wrong or the person to have an abortion or be induced prematurely into labor, or should they wait until their baby dies naturally. Remember, there's no chance for life outside of the womb AT ALL.

I just had my first baby and i have a few question i need help with.

1. How do you know the temprature in the room is good for the baby? How can i tell if the baby is too cold or too warm or just good? What is a good temprature to keep the room at?

2. Are there any foods that encourage my body to produce milk?

I guess that is if for now.

I went in for my ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and when the doctor went to see the sex the babys legs were crossed underneith it. He said he really couldnt tell but he said 70% that its a girl. Then the baby uncrossed its legs and the doctor said he could not see anything in between. I really want a girl and i am so afraid that its wrong. What are the odds that the doctor could be wrong?

When I was in the hospital a nurse told me about a pill you can take that is supposed to help with milk production has anyone had experience with this if so did it work? And also someone told me that drinking one unalcholic beer a days helps with production has anyone tryed this? I am desperate because I want my baby on just breast milk I dont want to have to give him formula right now. Please anyone have any suggestions I would love to hear them. THANKS
