I guess I just don't find it a hard job. I live my life trying. I set a good example. I take care of my childs needs. I love him. I don't understand what's so hard about that.

The job isn't hard but worrying about the results is. Every decision you make will effect your child for the rest of his or her life and some people will always second guess themselves or let other people's criticism eat at them.
If you are secure enough to feel that you will not screw up your child's life then the job is easy.

Being a mother is the hardest thing in the world for so many reasons. For 40 weeks we get to carry this little miracle inside of us and we are their sole protection from the world. Then for the first few months, we are the world to them. But as they age they need us less and less, even though we never lose that motherly attachment. We worry about them, are we raising them right? Are they old enough to play alone at someone else's house? Are they doing okay in school? Are they old enough to date? The list goes on and on. The problem is that we want to help them in everything they do, but at some point we have to let them do things on their own. Even when they are full grown adults, they are still our little babies. We may give up everything for them only to watch them grow up and start lives of their own. Being a mom is hard because it isn't a part-time job, it is a full time job that lasts from the time they are born to the time we die. You don't get days off, and you don't want days off. Something inside of us makes us want to do this horribly difficult job and do it well. Thank goodness for that instinct.

Because you are being given the most responsibility... you are to create the next generation of citizens. And, you never know if what you are doing is the exact right thing to create an incredible person who will one day be on their own. I dont' think that the part about taking care of them is hard- just the part about making sure that what you are doing is going to bring about the best results possible for your child as they grow into an adult who will then be responsible for themselves. It is hard because you can't see the future to see the mistakes you will make, and the possible consequences that may arise from your child's upbringing for them in the future. I want to make sure that my children will become productive members of society who are caring, interesting, intelligent, empathetic, creative and inspirational people. That is hard work to create such a person! It takes lots of effort and molding. That is why I believe that being a mother is the most difficult job... we have the responsibility to create the next generation of people in the world.

Do you have children? If you do then you should be able to answer that. You have to worry about everything. They take over your life in every way. It used to be you and you only and now it is them. It is not only the hardest, but the best job in the world. You have to make sure they eat, get their baths, are safe you name it you have to do it. Cooking cleaning, blah, blah, blah. I could go on all day! There was a news report about a year ago here where I live and they said that if a mother got paid according to everything they do, they would make around 300,000 a year.

I don't think it is. I guess it depends on your kids, if you have a few hellions running around, it could get quite hard. Also, I think some people say being a parent is the hardest thing in the world, because of all of the outside influences. You tell your kid one thing, but they see some one else doing what you told them not to do, and everything you say is questioned!

My interpretation of that question leads me to the answer that it is because it is the most important job in the world. The fact that you are raising the future citizens of the next generation, who will shape the world is crazy to think about. People can go in any direction based on the parenting they receive. I'm not a parent, but I imagine the responsibility of molding and nurturing a human into someone that is a happy, successful, driven, positive person is quite difficult.

It's not that hard a job for you because you probably are a selfish mother who doesn't care about your own children. Now log off of Answers and do a better job around the house!

What's hard about it is that we love our children so much and always want them near us, but in essence, if we do our job right, we are teaching them to move out of the house and away from us in order to become successful in their own lives. Plus with other "jobs" you can usually disconnect, when it comes to your kids, you are always emotionally connected. Parenting is the BEST and hardest and most important job there is.

It shouldn't be..Being a mom is suppose to be fun, exciting, worrying, learning, and yes hard too..But it shouldn't be the hardest thing in the world..Your taking motherhood to serious chill a little and try to enjoy the times not make it hard on yourself..

Because of the worry, feelings of inadequacy, and the sacrifice of your life as it once was. Being a mother is also the most wonderful thing in the world.
