Pregnancy & Parenting - 7 September 2006

This is my story... I had my first child and after I went in for my six week check up ( they did a pap there) and they called me saying that I had high cells, they werent cancer yet. So I had to go through a leep procedure. I then was fine, now I have had my second child three years later and got my pap done again.... and now I just got a call saying I need to go back in six months to check the cells again- since I have a history of high cells. Why does it keep happening over and over... does anyone know about this?

I have a two week old baby girl she sleeps all day and is up all night. Since the two weeks she has been home I have probably slept for maybe two hours a night. Please help. Dad is no help becuase he works at night.

If she have the baby she will die, only option two save her or the baby, she can't make decision, so you the husband or Mother, Father ( Just for teens ) and have the right to make the decision. What do you choose and WHY?

me & my hushband had unprotected sex 3 months ago, ever since I gained weight, had back pain, my breats got bigger and and my tummy got rounder. And ive been moody. My little girl is getting ready to turn 6 months old, she has always slept through the night and woke up around 7 am. Now for a week she is getting up at 3 am to eat, then she won't go back to sleep for 2 hours. Is this due to a growing spurt?

My friend's little girl was originally breastfed and when she tried her on the bottle she took it quite happily along with also being breastfed for 6 weeks, however she now refuses to take it and so has to be solely breastfed again. My friend is soon to return to work and so is quite worried about this, did this happen to anyone else and if so how did you deal with it please?

My daughter is almost 4 months old. She had formula in the hospital because she was a month premature. When my milk came in, I started breastfeeding and have ever since. Somewhere around 2 months I gave her an entire bottle of formula, not knowing I had to slowly add to breastmilk until she's used to it. She threw it all up, and I never did that again!

Today, I added 1 oz. of formula to a 4 oz. bottle of breastmilk. She spit up a bit, the usual amount & kept it down for about 2 hours, while she was sleeping. She woke up gagging and vomited it all up.

She usually spits up when I feed her, but not if I skip chocolate and acids, and let her settle for a bit between feeding and burping. But this wasn't just spit up, she lost everything, and I know she felt sick afterwards for a little while.

Is it a certain kind of formula? Or can she just not take formula at all? If so, why did she take it so well in the hospital (no spit up)? Should I try formula again at 6 months?

I am 12 days late on my period, i keep feeling like I might start but it goes away. The pains alternate from side to side in my lower abdomen above my pubic area. My breats burn more than normal. I am going to take a test but just wondering if anyone had experienced this before? Wasnt sure if you could have menstrual like cramps when you are pregnant.

My 22 month old has a horrible rash on his bottom.

It's small red bumps all over his bottom. I can't get it to go away...I've tried baby powder w/ talc, desitin,vasoline and corn starch. I'm running out of options. Could this be a yeast infection? If I can't get it to go away I will go to the doc, I just need some advice.

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and are in our mid 20's.

Were we going to wait another 3 years, but decided a month ago to start in a few months because we are both getting the baby bug.

My wife has been baby crazy for about a year, she has cried a few times when she came home after spending the day with her friends' babies. She said she felt sad because she wasn't a mother and it "hurt her heart."

Now that we plan to try for a baby she doesn't even want to look at baby stuff or talk about babies, she said she doesn't want to get her hopes up and make things worse for her.

Is this a normal thing for a woman?

Yes looking for tips on how to potty train my 2 year old .She is showing intrests tells me after the fact she goes potty and says she has to go potty afterwards.It is like she has her timming off on it. Any ideas on a routine or any thing???

Thank you for all your answers... My son cried for about 2 min. after that...then went on laughing and playing... I just wanted to see if anyone could tell me if I should worry.. since I am feeling completely guilty. And to SMITTY... I am an excellent mom... I don't know if you live in a perfect world, but I don't and accident's happen.. I stepped away to make his bottle and in that min I was gone he fell. rolled off the bed... I hope that answers your question..

I have been dating my b/f for 5 years. His daughter was 2 when i met him she is now 7. She is like my own and she calls me "mom". Just this past year her real mom has been in and out of her life. His daughter is now going through the emotions of her mom not being there for her to where she lashes out at me. What can i do to help her with this situtation. She talks back, gets mean, crys, and has tempers. I love her with all my heart and i have always been there for her but i dont know what to do. I dont want to put her in couseling..
