at what age should i start trying to teach my daughter to tie her shoe (she 3 now)

Give it a try, but not with shoes on her feet yet. It will be easier if they are on a table in front of her. She may be too young, mine was about 5 before he grasped it.

I tried teaching my son at 4...he didn't get it and would get frustrated so I stopped. Two weeks before he started Kindergarten (he was turning 6) I taught him. I only had to show him twice before he got it. I know some kids who have learned at age 4 but most learn around 5.

I think that age three is a good age to start but if she just isn,t getting it then try again in a couple months. Most children don,t get this skill until four or five believe it or not.

You can start now making the 2 rabbit ears but they wont really have the dexterity until they are about 5 years
