Isn't that when the doctor sticks his finger in your butt.

Yes I've had many. If you get a Pap test the speculum hurts a little bit especially if you are dry, I feel a slight twinge when they scrape the cervix with the q-tip type thing. I feel pressure when they do an internal exam (insert fingers and press on my stomach). Usually a breast exam is part of my exam. To sum it up I wouldn't say it hurts just slightly uncomfortable and you should only be touched while they insert the speculum and fingers. As they can see everything clearly since your feet are in the stirr-ups and bum is right to the edge of the table.

My friend had a pelvic exam. It was a ultrasound. And they did not touch her. All they did was lower her pants to her hips, raise her shirt a bit rubbed some ultrasound gel and placed a metal thingie around her pelvic area, and checked if anyhing weird was going on. It doesn't hurt. It's just uncomfortable because the doctor is all quiet rolling that cold metal thing on your womb and you want to go pee really bad. Because before you walk in, you need to drink a bunch of water.

i don't think it hurts it's mostly mentally uncomfortable. They use a specular looks like a ducks bill to open the vaginal walls to look at your cervix do a pap test which is a long q tip rub it on your cervix. Then they take the speculum out use two fingers lubed to feel your cervix and put a hand on your lower belly to fell the size shape of your womb happens very quick and needs done 1 time a year.

the more relaxed you are the better chances its not going to hurt. also it has alot to do with the doctor some doctors are more gentle. try talking to the doctor while hes doing it that really works.
they put forcepts in your vagina and take some discharge or something with a swab and then they usually put their fingers to check for something and its usually over within 2 or 3 min if your comfortable

It may hurt a little, and the doctor will touch you. Do not worry, he is a professional. And ask him these questions before the exam, he wil be happy to address them.

It's a bit more uncomfortable to have a pelvic exam when you are pregnant than when you aren't. It can cause some cramping afterwards, but it didn't for me.

Yes it hurts some but it is fairly quick and done so the pain does not last long. Hold your breath count to 5 and it will be over with....
