Most of the plus size industry can't comprehend that people over a size 10 get pregnant, so they rarely make anything comfortable for those bigger than that.

Lane Giant doesn't have maternity clothes (At least nothing I'd want to spend that much cash on if they ever did), but if you need some maternity clothes, save yourself some cash and buy either sweatpants with oversized shirts, or buy those really stretchy denim pants they sell everywhere.

I hate stretchy denim, but I did wear them while pregnant. I was a size 16, but when I was ready to give birth I was close to a 20!

If you hate stretchy denim as much as I do, you could do what I did on my second pregnancy. I figured out what my max size would be and bought pants in that size. Then I just cinched them so they'd stay up. Nobody saw it because I had an oversized shirt to cover me.

If you want to try the thrift stores, you'll get great bargains for such a short time you'll need the items.

AVOID EBAY!!!! You'll get crap someone pull either out of a charity bin or dug through a thrift store to resell to you at an inflated price! Plus they'll tear you apart with shipping!

Save money now,, you'll need it when your kid becomes a teen!

I am a 22 i go to motherhood maternity they have great shirts 2 and 3x and pants no local k-mart or wal mart I've even been in had plus size maternity and motherhood and lane Bryant are kind of costly but nice quality.. I also buy stretch jeans that have the stretch waist i can wear them in a size 24 I'm almost 6 months now they are cheap. I buy regular huge shirts or a Mens big and tall shirt 2 x 3x because they are longer then women's shirts women's shirts are sometimes to short I'm very big breasted also.

I feel your pain! I looked so forward to wearing maternity clothes, but no one sold them. I think one of the stores that has a plus sized department sells plus-sized maternity clothes now. You can find them in strip malls. I can't think of the name of it. It sells regular sizes and just within the last two years (We were planning my son's first birthday when I saw the sign in the window.) started selling this stuff. You can google it and they sell some things on line, but I found it was incredibly expensive and you had to be really tall to fit it. I just went to the Lane Bryant catalog because the store was too expensive, and bought some 3x stretchy clothes. If I come across the name of the other store, I'll post a question in this section. Congratulations! Fashion Bug! That's the store!

Just buy large clothes from an larges size shop. There just aren't any shops out there and it's not worth it for 9 months. I was a 22 so bought size 26 clothes which did up to the end -look for elasticated waists, jersey fabrics which stretch or try an extender on your waist band like a piece of elastic or button expander from haberdashers. You can hire large outfits for posh do's. Good luck!

This link is to a shopping portal for plus size maternity clothing. They don't actually sell anything but they have a listing of stores that sell plus-size maternity clothes.

Motherhood maternity stores and Fashion bug both have plus sized maternity clothes... but I found alot of great deals on Ebay..... i have ordered a few and they have been at a GREAT price. just watch out for large shipping costs. It takes away from the deals you think you are getting. some may be used, but think about the fact that you wont be wearing them forever.....

I was a size 22-24 when pregnant and had this exact same problem! Mothercare etc usually stop at size 20, 22 if your lucky. I found my local asda was quite good. They usually stock the larger sizes and are nice stuff as opposed to the nasty smocks they usually put us larger ladies in!
