Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 August 2006

I have an IUD and have had no problems with it for the last 9 months but now I appear to be pregnant. I am new to my city and don't have insurance so it's not like I can just go see my gyn since I don't have one here. I will have to go to the health department and have an official preg test and then apply for a medical card (usually takes 4-6 wks to get one) and then try to find a doc that tkaes it.

My Q is if an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy can cause a possitive pregnancy test, becuase if it can then do you think I should just go to the ER and face the cost of the emergancy room visit? I know that a tubal pregnancy can do alot of damage and so I don't want to have to wait 6 weeks or more to find out. Do you know anyone who got pregnant with an IUD? At what point did they have it removed, if they did? How did it turn out? Don't worry about scaring me, I really need to know the facts. Thanks

I am in melbourne, florida and have been here for 8 years...why do people freak out when they hear hurricane? The news makes it seems so much worse than it is going to be, thats why i stay away from watching it. i love tom sorrellis(the metrogoliest on channel 6) he is in fact accurate and not out to freak anyone out. it was downgraded yesterday to a tropical storm that we will be getting sometime wednesday. do you think they will cancel school for my 3rd grade daughter tomorrow?

Ok, so my doctor told me I havea "uterine band"/"uterine synechaei" Anyone have any experience with this? I'm scheduled to go for a level 2 ultrasound, and I'm really worried about what this could mean.

I called the doctor's office first thing this morning and they think it sounds like a virus and maybe a touch of food poisoning but I don't know. They don't want me to bring him in unless he gets worse and they'll call me back periodically through the day but, we ate at Chili's last night and both my husband and myself got sick after we got home. And our son ate what we ate. He threw up during the night and some this morning and he is exhausted . He is usally full of energy and hates to sleep didn't know if anyone else had that experience.

I ask this cause I had an experience with my son back in April that was so awesome. Here's what happened.

Our son was recently diagnosed with ASD, 3 weeks after this and one week of daddy being out of town I had had a rough month. I had laid my daughter down to sleep. My son crawled up in my lap and put his arms around me and snuggled his face into my neck.
We were holding each other so close, I could feel his heartbeat and he was so close to me it was like I was carrying him in my womb again. I started to cry , I mean really crying.
My son looked directly into my face and smiled and snuggled back into my neck and hugged me. I just kept whispering thank you GOD, for this angel you sent to us. I just held him and rocked him and told him I loved him. When my husband came and got him he was like omg whats wrong ? I told him the experience I just had with our only son was truly amazing and that if GOD took him away tomorrow it would be okay for giving me THAT ONE MOMENT.

i have been struggling with infertility for 4 yrs and went through ovarian cancer treatments 2 yrs ago. i got clearance from all docs, and we want to do in vitro. due to the cost, we only have 1 shot. i am overweight, will this cause the in vitro to not work? do i have to get all the way down to my "healthy weight" ? how much is enough?

I had my baby in Florida, i had problem during pregnancy that doctors found out later, then i think a lot of things during my delivary went wrong, but i didn't know, because i was young, and a single mother, and the medicaid paid everything, so i suspect that they knew that know one would follow them anyway, i had a baby boy, who had a problem with the suck and swallow coordination, they kept him at the nursery for a week then discharged him, telling me that the baby is normal, then i went to his pediatritian, for like five visits and i kept saying that the baby cries a lot, but she said that's normal, anyway on my last visit, i told his perdiatritian, if it's ok to fly with him, because i wanted to go overseas, his father wanted to see him, i thought maybe we would get married after he sees his son and everything, so she said it's ok. and at his 40 days of age i flew to his dad, then the baby started to grow up, and we began to notice that he dosen't follow objects and then he

I have always made my baby's formula as needed but someone recently told me that I should make all the bottles for the day at the same time so that the "nutrients have time to activate" or something. I think that sounds TOTALLY STUPID and I'm wondering if anyone else has ever heard of such a thing. I think if it was true it would say so on the can! It can't possibly be accurate !

I usually get the gas, bloating, nausea feeling everyday after lunchtime that lasts throughout the evening pretty much. Sometimes I need to take Mylanta to sleep at night. When i take Tums during the day, that helps for like maybe 40 mins and then once i drink water or something, my gas starts back. even with mylanta, half the night is fine and then during morning hours again i get bloated, nausea, gas feeling. i know cause i keep having to burp every 10 15 minutes and sometimes i throw up as a result, othertimes i just burp and then the bloating and gassy feeling still stay with me. Any other woman experience this. And with vomitting instead of doing it every day like i used to, it happens maybe every 3/4 days in the evening time like right as i am drinking water or I gag on something that makes me throw up. I guess my body is more sensitive at this time. Generally will the gas, bloating, nausea feeling stop eventually? anyone else get these symptoms?

I am 8 months pregnant with my second child. When she is born, I plan on going back to work. My husband just got hired into a new shop. We were planning on having him be the stay at home parent, so our children won't have to be with someone we don't know and trust. The problem is, we could use both incomes. I don't like the idea of hiring a stranger to take care of my kids, and family just doesn't have the time (they have jobs, too). My question is, what are my options? I just don't trust people, I guess. Any input?

I've always wanted a baby but the only reason I never got pregnant was because I don't want kids from diffrent men, only one men should give me as manny kids. I then slept with my boyfriend without protection and he ejaculated in me. It's only been a few days but I don't have appetite already and at times when I see food I feel like vomiting. I finally made an appt. to get on the pill. I was spotting, which I have never done that in between periods (this was a week before I started) I told the doctor I had been really tired and moody. I have been getting really bad night sweats. They didn't give me a test there, just gave me the pill, she said it should help with all of those symptoms. So I started Sunday along with Jasmine and I was vomitting yesterday morning. And I was sick last night too. I know starting the pill can make you sick. So is that all it was? My boyfriend made the comment of how big my boobs were getting. Is this just all in my head??? I think it is, but I don't want to ignore it, if by chance it isn't.
