Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 August 2006

Here is the scoop. This weekend I went to change my daughters diaper and when I went to lift her bottom up she winced and cried. I had a hold of her legs as I have always done since she was born. I had the daycare do some exercises with her to see if she would wince or cry when not on the change table (she was doing this wincing at daycare as well) when they took her legs and raised them to her head she resisted and let out a cry like she was in pain. Please does anyone or has anyone ever experienced anything like this. I called my daughters pediatrician and of course gotta love those summer hours!!! They are closed till tomorrow just my luck!

my daugther is preg. with her first preg. we have had 2 sonagrams and about 4 weeks ago the first showed the gestational sac and yolk sac had one today and still the same we go back next week for another vagianl sonagram to see what they see they think she may have miscarried but she has had no bleeding or major cramping. anyone can help please do we are scared

My four year old son is very bright and smart ... just started pre school .He acts as he is forgetful i ask hime what he did he said i don't know... and i know he knows what he did in school and he knows all his numbers,abc and stuff like that and now when he say then sometimes it is like he skips a letter or number do any of your toddlers do this and you know they know them what makes a child act this way?

is it normal to miss a period for the 4 month,after having safe sex with a condom 3 months back and having 3 normal continous periods. i.m running late by almost 15days..i am worried if i am pregnant...also is it normal to miss a period by 15 days, missing periods for how many days is considered abnormal my date was 14th aug..also how soon can i expect my periods if i am not pregnant ( late by 15days)

My husband is out of town until Friday with a sick parent. My daughter is not taking having daddy gone very well, so I've decided she and I should work on a surprise for him over the next few days- We're going to get up early Friday and fix him his favorite supper and make a "Welcome Home Daddy" banner for the living room. I'm a new mom with a 7 week old baby and we'll be traveling to PA next week, which is going to be a horribly long day , hour drive to denver airport, we're supposed to get to the airport 2 hours early, 3 hour plane ride and then another 2 hour drive to get to the in-laws house (and then a week of dealing with the in-laws but that's a different problem). Has anybody traveled with a newborn that has some advice for keeping him happy and me sane. Also, how did you manage the logistics, where do you change his diaper, where do you get warm water for formula, we're holding him(couldn't afford the third ticket) so where does his carseat go? ..etc.

ok today was my first doctors apt. since i found out i was pregnant....they told me i was 5 weeks pregnant based on my last peroid...BUT they told me my due date is march 2nd which would mean im alot farther along...so then i asked based upon my due date, when i most likely conceived, and they told me the 8th of this month...WHICH IS NOT 5 WEEKS AGO.... what the hell is my doctor doing?????? none of it adds up and i need to know!

The doctor said I shouldn't need to take her in until her fever is 105 degrees. That seems really high to me. She isn't dehydrated and my sister said all they will do is give her Tylonal and Motrin to bring down the fever and you can do the same thing at home. I still feel a little on edge about not taking her. What temp would you take your child to the doc with?

so i was supposed to start my period yesterday.. still hasn't came. Last night my husband was annoying me in bed (on purpose becauase he thought it was funny). I didn't know what to do, cry, laugh, or yell at him. so i started crying and laughing at the same time. then this morning I was watching T.V and I saw this commercial about how TIDE was washing clothes for the hurrican katrina victims.. so i started to cry. then, when i got to work I started to cry because of what someone said to me at work.... I just keep crying because of the stupidest things... I don't want to cry anymore.. I know I am going to cry again when aunt flow comes.. how do i stop being ssoo emotional over stupid things????
