i was suppose to start my period yesterday. i took a test this morning and it was neg. can i still be pregnant

It may still be too early to show up on a HPT. The most accurate test would be getting a blood test done to see if there is HcG in your blood. Otherwise I would wait a few more days and then re-test using a HPT. Good luck!

The tests are not reliable until at least a week after the first missed period. It is too soon for the test.

Sometimes your period can be 1-2 weeks late. I would buy a pregnancy test in 3 weeks because you should have it by then.

you can miss your period for a thousand reasons or just be late for just as many reasons. tests can be faulty. Contrary to one of the other anwers on here, you CAN TOO get pregnant during protected sex. It happens. I'd wait a week before taking another test.

It takes about 6 weeks to turn up positive after the "event". You can have a late period if you're sick or under a lot of stress. Maybe it's too early to tell.

i would wait a week and take an other one you can still be pregnant it could take up to a month for people to have a positive test... and i wouldnt worry your self your only late a day i would start worring if you were a week or two late

Some women don't produce elevated hcg levels until a week or two after their missed period. You can wait a week and retest or call your doctor and have them do a bloodtest.

You can only be pregnant if you had unprotected sex. Give in another day or two. You could be off on your calculations.
