They ALL have expiration dates on them, but generally they are only good for aroung 24 months.

I think they may have a "best by" date on the packaging (if you have that still). I don't know how long they last but they probably are good for several months if kept dry and in normal room temperature.
Depending on the situation when you were in need of them, I'd recommend being cautious when using them; be extra careful as they may not be as strong as they once were.
If you're in a committed relationship with someone who is faithful and whom you know well then the worst scenario is that they fail and may allow for unintended pregnancy.
If you're dating more than one person and/or taking risks then I would recommend that you use some that are more recent to avoid the possibility of catching a disease.
I would be very careful about using 4 year old condoms at all.

Ok, so what your friend is really asking, is if they really were for them. She can ask herself these questions...
1 - When was the last time he used his luggage?
2 - Has he cheated on her before?
3 - If she doesn't trust him, what the hell is she doing with him?
Or is she one of those drama needing attention whores that can't be happy without being miserable... you know the type...they're the kind who check expiration dates on condoms.
Tell your friend to get a life, and then worry about having a boyfriend.

well i def would not use them if they were 4 years old but i'm pretty sure they have an expiration date right on each individual condom. just look around for the date, it should be there because i was looking for the expiration date on one too and it was good until 2008.

There should be an expiration date on them. Most condoms have a five year shelf life. Open one and fill it with water to see if it is still durable.

They now have expiration days on them. If I was you, I would not use any condoms that were over a year. Anything can wear out.

I am sure the expiration dates is a marketing ploy...but better error on the side of safety...better an old or even a used condom than none at all, if you dont want a kid....

They have an expiration date on each little packet. But they're temperature sensitive (latex breaks down) so if they've been in a wallet or something, throw them out. If they've been in a drawer, check the expiration.

They usually have an expiration date on them. Heck, EVERYTHING these days has an expiration date!
Or just go with the "when in doubt, throw it out" rule previously mentioned.
