you can calculate the estimated due date by subtracting 3 months from the first day of your last period and adding 7 days (or 1 week) this will give you your due date. You probly conceived about two weeks after the first day of your last period. this is when you are most fertile.

Most doctors start the clock on your pregnancy on the first day of your last period - this is the gestational age. It is, on average, 2 weeks after that time that you conceived - this is the fetal age. From here on out most medical professionals will refer only to your gestational age (this includes that 2 weeks before you got pregnant). Since I don't know all of your dates to be certain it looks like you baby should be due in May...maybe they just misspoke and said the wrong M month. Your pregnancy is 40 weeks (the baby grows for 38 of those weeks) and that does not equal the nine months everyone thinks of. It's 10 months. Maybe that is part of what isn't jiving with you. It looks to me that the only thing you should question is the due date...and that was probably just a mistake.

Obviously somewhere all of this information got mixed up...because it doesn't add up. If you are due March 2nd then your last period had to have been on May 26th. If you are 5 weeks pregnant then you would be due in 35 weeks which would be like the first of May. I think you need to call and get everything refigured out.

your doctor is correct if you are 5 weeks by your last months period then you conceived three weeks ago
assuming your last period started July 25 you conceived on Aug 8 (if you have a 28 day cycle) and are due MAY 2 (not march) I think it was most likely a slip of the tongue

You became pregnant about two weeks after your last period. So that would be the starting date from which you count out the nine months or however many days.
Doctors make a lot of mistakes. This is just one more.

there are 2 ways to calculate your pregnancy, 1 is from the day you conceived and 2 is from the 1st day of your last period. if you are wanting to keep track of your pregnancy up to 40weeks(due date) then go by your 1st day of your last period. but if the doctor thinks this is not accurate cause either your menstrual cycle is irregular or sparatic the he may give you an ultrasound to determine the exeact due date. so you got pregnant on the 8th but you will keep track of how far you are along by the 1st day of your last period cause that egg is the egg that got fertilized, so u are 5 weeks along!!! i hope this is understandable. GO TO THIS LINK IT WILL TAKE YOU DIRECTLY TO A PREGNANCY DUE DATE CALCULATOR-------http://www.babycenter.com/ THIS SITE IS AWESOME IT WILL TELL YOU HOW YOUR BABY IS DEVELOPING DAY TO DAY!

i think you need to call your doctor back. there is no way you could be 5 weeks and be due on march 2nd. i'm 11 weeks pregnant and due on march 22nd. if you are due on the 2nd then you'd be 13 weeks pregnant. the doctor is there for you to ask questions, have him/her explain it to you, maybe you misunderstood each other. good luck and congrats!

You are considered pregnant from the first day of your last period.....so you're "pregnant" for 2 weeks before you actually conceive.

If your due date is march 2nd - then the first day of your LMP should have been around May 28th... probable ovulation around June 10th .... probable implantation around June 18th. and you should be almost 14 weeks pregnant! check out the link below

its kindof confusing. if you become pregnant your nine months starts from the date of your last period, even though you did not get conceive that day. this is how ALL doctors determine your due date. don't get upset by it. it's normal!
