The only way to know for sure is to take a test. If you have health insurance, go see a doctor.
If you skip a period completly in those 3 weeks, that's a good indication, but you can also skip periods due to normal hormonal changes throughout your life and STRESS.
If you THINK you are pregnant, stop drinking, stop taking the pill, start eating better, for the sake of the baby.
But if you can't afford a pregnancy test, you need to consider putting the cost of condoms into your budget, because you can't afford a baby, either.

The only way to know if you are pregnant without a test is if you are tracking you cycles and you know you ovulated and your period has not started 18 days after ovulation. But you need to KNOW you ovulated. Tracking your cycles takes a lot of knowledge. Most people even take classes to learn how to do it.
The thing is...once you ovulated you period WILL START. It is usually within 14 days but books say 18 days to give it a cushion. A lutal phase (time between ovulation and period) is never longer than 18 days.
When women have a later period and they are NOT pregnant it is because they ovulated late. Not because after ovulation the period came late.
Ovulating later than usual can be caused by many things. Stress being the big one, huge life changes like moving, job change, marriage, divorce, Also weight loss.
I guess the short answer to your questions is NO unless you are already charting.
Go to a dollar store. You can most likely find enough change for one or two tests (look in the couch cushions and car seats) The tests you get a dollar stores are better than the ones you get at Walgreen's.
Good luck, I hope you get the answer that you want.

I agree with one of the other comments, if you can't buy a test how are you going to afford to look after a baby I think you need to have a really good think about this. But anyway you can get free tests at your nearest family planning clinic, if you phone them they will give you the times to go. Good luck whatever happens.

no, you need to go to the drug store and spend the 15 to get the test (most doctors think that the drug store tests are the most practical) or go to a place like Planned Parenthood or a free clinic in your area
