My daughter is almost 4. We put her into pre-school a few weeks ago. She has started to suck her thumb the past 2 weeks. I have check with her teach to make sure she has adjusted. My daughter acts happy to be there. Any idea why she started sucking her thumb?

Why do parents smugly say you'll understand when you are older? as when you get old you find they were lying or stupid along with most 'grown ups' or corrupt or living in lala land making decisions on the basis of everyone else is doing it (reminds me of smoking in school) oe as their parents did it...

My son is almost 15 months old and I am lucky to get him to eat enough to be considered one meal for the whole day. He is not small by any means, 25 lbs at 15 months old but its kind of worrisome to see your child eat enough for a baby bird all day. He is in this snacking phase, he wants to snack all day but no meals. I have moved him into healthy snacking, cheerios instead of chips and graham crackers instead of cookies etc... but this is my 1st child so everything is new to me. Any help would be appreciated!

no one trusts me whenever i say something.
they trust me to babysit and that stuff, but NOT WHEN I TELL THEM ANYTHING!!!
i've tried saying "i told you so"
any ideas?
thing is, I ALWAYS TURN OUT RIGHT WHENEVER THEY DON'T TRUST ME. and i don't lie. duh.

I am pregnant about 11 weeks. I have my first dr appointment tomorrow. This wasn't exactly a planned pregnancy..and to be honest I am terrified to tell my fiance. We wanted to wait 2 years before starting a family. He thinks I am on the pill....which I dont take religiously.
How should I break it to him...I know he will support me but I dont think he will be thrilled with the timing.
Should I give him a card or sit him down? Any ideas on how to break the news to him?

we cant go out in public because he with throw a tantrum if he wants something, when hes told its time to et he totaly disregards what anyone has told him and expects me to feed him! he is very repetative with the word "mom & mommy" sometimes i want to cry it really drives me nutty when he doesnt listen i really need help with this or i feel i mihgt end up going insane???? if anyone has anything that can help please let me know...

Ok so the deal is my father met this women on an online dating website and they have been talking. I have never met her or anything & she has 2 daughters. Well he has been saying strange things to me like we are going to make this room her daughters room and that my dog is going to get a new playmate b/c they have a dog. Ok keep in mind noone in my family has met these people. I got suspecious so I was listening in on his convo and she asked how long it would take for them to get married. He said they could do it in 5 min and she liked that idea. She also asked him if they could put there bank accounts together and he AGREED! I know he has not known this women for more than 2 months and they are going to elope and get married WTF! He dated another women for 9 years and did not marry her! I dont understand. How can you marry someone move her in and not even introduce her to the family first. I think that she may be a con-artist. Please tell me what you would do in a situation like that!

I am 32 weeks pregnant and reguarly get tightening in my upper stomach region which can last up to 5 minutes. I thought this was Braxton-Hicks but have since read that this is much lower in the stomach i.e. within the uterine area. Has anyone else experienced these type of contractions?

It took my husband and I 5 years to have our little girl. She is almost 4. We have been trying over 2 years with no luck. I am so frustrated, every month I think, sometimes even knowing i am, then the HPT says NO. I have changed my diet, increased my excericse, take prenate pill and visit my doctor. Does anyone have advise what else I can do?

ok soo im pregnant with my first and im in my 3rd month now and im reading how ur always tried and bla bla bla... but im always tired in the day but i can never sleep at night. ive tried swithching my schedule and everything so i can sleep at night but it just doesnt work. what should i do.. is my baby going to be born and be up all hours of the night and sleep all day? I'm about 21wks pregnant and the baby is VERY active. Will the cord wrap around his neck if he's doing flips and cartwheels in there?? My husband started my worrying about this the other night. I had a miscarriage with a D & C in January and my periods are still like every 6-8 weeks. I don't think I have had a regular period since my miscarriage.
