Why on earth are you sitting there, posting the same questions a couple of hours apart? if you're 3.5 cm dilated, you just lost your plug, and you're feeling back pains, chances are you're getting REALLY close to having your baby. So instead of being at your computer asking the same thing over and over again, get yourself to a hospital and have your ob-gyn check you out. It doesn't mean the baby's coming right this minute but do you really wanna take the chance of the baby coming while you're on the computer?

Hi,
These are the signs that you are going into labor.
you should see if there is a patten to the cramps, (see if they come and go, if so you need to start timing them), i would recommend you call your OB and they will ask if you have timed the cramps(contractions) and how far apart they are before they will recommend you go to the hospital.
These could be just braxton-hicks which come and go giving you a false sense of labor. A contraction will usually feel like pulling usually front to back/or back to front. Usually unless this is full onset of labor if you were to try and calm down and breathe and the pain does stop then if braxton hicks, if not then its time to boogie down to the hospital and get ready to bring the new Lil one into the world.
Good Luck and Congrats.

Congratulations!

Contact your doctor but don't panic - the other ladies are right in saying it may be another week or two before your baby arrives. Just go in, get examined and rest as much as possible which the contractions are still mild enough. Also, if you place a flocked tablecloth with the fuzzy side up under you, you can protect your bed or couch more if your water breaks.

Good luck and enjoy your new arrival!

Call your doctor. Loosing your mucus plug does not always mean your going into labor but you need to see what your doctor says. I lost both of my mucus plugs 5 weeks before I had both of my children. He or she may want to examine you and do an ultrasound.

Your bag of waters has burst. If the discharge is a bright red or clear color take a shower and call your doctor you are going into labor. If its dark in color go to the hospital immediately your baby has moved its bowels in the womb and its dangerous for the baby.

you can have your "show" up to two weeks before going into labour, but it is usually a sign that things are starting. Try having a relaxing bath and maybe then give your midwife a call to assess the situation. Try and nap at the moment because soon you'll be wishing you had rested more now.
Good Luck

Whenever you are experiencing things such as this during your pregnancy, you either call your OB doctor and talk to a nurse or go to the hospital L&D floor and get checked out. That is what you need to do.

If you lost your mucous plug, that means that labour is on it's way. You should see a doctor ASAP if your amniotic fluid is coming out brownish! It should be completely clear and colourless. This can cause big problems for your baby!

You need to go to the hospital! It sounds like you are in labor and you need to be checked. Don't waste time, go get everything checked. Trust me the hospital won't think you're stupid, it's your first baby and most moms freak out. I signed myself in the ER and sat down waiting when I was in labor with my first. I didnt know you were supposed to tell someone you needed immediate attention.

Sounds like early labor to me. Congrats! How far apart are your contractions? And are they painful? If they're painful and not more than 5 minutes apart, you should take your bag and go to the hospital!
