Help! Crisis! Please Read! I need your help!?

Ok so the deal is my father met this women on an online dating website and they have been talking. I have never met her or anything & she has 2 daughters. Well he has been saying strange things to me like we are going to make this room her daughters room and that my dog is going to get a new playmate b/c they have a dog. Ok keep in mind noone in my family has met these people. I got suspecious so I was listening in on his convo and she asked how long it would take for them to get married. He said they could do it in 5 min and she liked that idea. She also asked him if they could put there bank accounts together and he AGREED! I know he has not known this women for more than 2 months and they are going to elope and get married WTF! He dated another women for 9 years and did not marry her! I dont understand. How can you marry someone move her in and not even introduce her to the family first. I think that she may be a con-artist. Please tell me what you would do in a situation like that!

She is most certainly up to something.
No woman, in the right state of mind, would want to get married in 5 minutes after knowing their spouse for 2 months. A marriage shouldn't be a thrown together, 5 minute thing, it should be a beautiful celebration; dispite lengthy time.
Your dad must have a lot of money, she is already talking about putting their money together and you want to know why? Then when she divorces him, she'll get half of everything... or maybe she's crazy and would try to kill him to get the money.
Your dad needs to wise up and stop acting like such a fool. This woman must be attractive that he's willing to marry her in 5 minutes but he should come to his senses. 2 months into a relationship and this woman is already talking about sharing bank accounts, moving in, and marriage.
You need to stop him or you can say goodbye to your life and your dad.
I think you should sit down one on one with your dad and explain everything that I just said. Tell him, why would a woman want to jump into marriage and sharing accounts so quickly if she isn't a gold digger.

You're not going to like this answer (I didn't either) but there isn't much you can do. Your father is a grown man and can and probably will do what he wants to. My mom (she passed in January) met my step dad (the only dad I've ever known) in 2002 off the internet, I did the same thing, read their conversations, thought they were crazy. I had just turned 18 and got my mom and I and apartment, little did I know HE was moving in too. I found out the night before we moved that he was going to meet us there. I read it over her shoulder and I flew off the hinges. It didn't do any good. My step dad and I fought it out for about a year and half and he still wouldn't go away. They moved a couple years later across the US and I couldn't stand it. I eventually let up and grew to love him. He helped my mom with her heart disease and was there until she took her last breath. Now this woman could be the psycho you suspect (afterall my dad came with tattoos and Harley off the internet) but don't close your mind to the possibility she could be a good woman. Good luck with whatever happens.

Sometimes parents are vary nieve and need to be show the right dirrection. You r Dad is probably looking for Companionship and is blind to her true person. Make sure you express your feelings to your dad, but do it in a nice way. Say something like hey Dad, why don't we and your girlfriends family all get together to meet each other. Also make sure he knows that your concerned about him marrying someone he doesn't know, Ask him how he would feel if you meet someone on the internet and married them only after 2 months. Just tell him your trying to help protect him and that you don't want to see him get hurt.

This is your family too, you have to help protect it.

i hate to say it but i was in the same situation once. except my dad met her at the bar. she was terrible mean and just nasty as in she didnt bathe. in teh end she took everything. the car new furniture the breast implants he bought her everything. and he had to file for bankruptcy. it sucked i had to move in with my mom because step mom hated me so much. im sorry this is happening to you. just know that if she is a golddigger like my evil step mother it wount last forever. unless of corse your dads a zillionaire. lol. hold on its going to be a bumpy couple years.

well the first thing I would do is this. Express your feelings to your dad calmly. If he still wants to marry her, dont say anything just get along for your dads sake and when it bites him in the *** just be there. hope this helps

I AGREE, YOU ARE SO RIGHT. TRY TO STOP IT AS CALMLY AS YOU CAN. IT IS A VERY HARD THING TO DO, BUT YOU SEEM LIKE A SMART GIRL.
