When I was a teen I remember a boy had to be taken away from a chaperoned party in an ambulance for alcohol poisoning. The boy looked like death. His face was ashen gray. (Somebody thought it was funny to toss his unconscious body behind a fence. Luckily, some else found him and got him medical attention.) Because he got medical treatment, he was OK.

Here's a link to a foundation started by the parents of a 19 year-old who died from alcohol poisoning:

Is there any way to judge how severe your morning sickness will be? My mother had terrible pregnancies and I am worried that when I do get pregnant I will be as sick as her. My aunt (on my father's side) was not sick for her pregnancies and when my cousin was pregnant she was not sick either. Have any of you found any relation to how you feel or felt during your pregnancy to how your mother felt during hers? Thanks.

If you already have one child in daycare. How much would you save each month to handle 2 children in daycare at at the same time. If anyone is going through that how is it? Good and bad?

I'm kind of irregular on my periods, but I'm TTC, so I've been tracking my CM. The first day of my last period was August 7th and it lasted 5 days. I had sex on the 11th, 19th, and 21st. I didn't really notice the CM to be clear egg white, but know, I'm noticing that it's white (not clear), sticky, and stretchy. What is this? I've had no bleeding or spotting.

my son is 4 years old. He has been in speech therapy and early child classes for about 18 months and although i have seen SOME improvements he still seems like he isnt where he should be for his age. He can talk a lot better and know colors and animal sounds, but most of what he says is "mimic" speech. He has almost no "spontaneous" speech. I am not saying that he only says what someone JUST said...but all of his speech is "scripted" (like when he asks for milk it is always said the same way with the same infliction in his voice) AND he seems to have no sense of danger (i am constantly running to grab him from darting out in to the street or stop him from touching a hot stove ...my 18 month old will look at the stove and say "hot...owwie")
his doctor says he should be fine but i am really worried that it may be a bigger problem. until he started talking i thought he may be autistic but should i be worried that he has bigger problems (retardation)...my other 2 kids seem fine to me

This is my first, so I am not sure how everything is suppose to go but I didn't think they were that low until you were about to give birth or the last trimester. I am worried that I may have her early or will she move up or is it normal?

Anyone that has taken this can you tell me when you go on day 21 to have your blood taken to see if you ovulate. Do they do a pregnancy test or DO they give it more time to see if you start you period. I forgot to ask the doctor when i went. If i don't end up pregnant do they put you back on provera and it starts all over again.

My daugther has this really cavalier attitude about money. Her attitude is that if she ruins her clothes or breaks a toy, it's okay, we'll just buy her a replacement. I'm thinking of having her buy her own toys, the only time my husband or I will buy her toys is for birthday's, Christmas, etc. And I'm thinking of also having her pay for her own fast food if she requests we go out to eat, she's always wanting Burger King. Would that be too harsh? I want her to learn how to be responsible about money, but I don't want to make her resentful. Does anyone have any opinion on my ideas and/or any other helpful tips? Thanks in advance.

I know alot of parents would say that every child does this but I've been around alot of kids and I've never seen one that talks as much as my son. He literally talks constantly, so much so that one can't concentrate on anything else when he's around. As soon as he opens his eyes, he starts talking and he doesn't stop until he goes to bed. He's loud and will talk to anyone who'll listen to him. (He even strikes up conversations with strangers in the grocery store, even though we've told him not to talk to strangers.)He gets alot of attention from his father and I and from his grandma.

His brother is two and everyone wonders why he doesn't talk alot and I tell them that with his big brother around, he doesn't get the chance to say much.

My 5 year old is very intelligent and will be starting Kindergarten homeschool next week. The problem is, I don't know if he'll stop talking long enough to learn anything.

Do you have any advice on how I can get him to stop?

my daughter is almost seven yr old and sucks her thumb. ALL the time. i have tried to reward her when she goes an amount of time, ive tried to take things away when she does it, ive dipped her thumb in nail polish remover and that will work for the time being but i would prefer to use something that wont hurt her if she puts in her mouth. i dont want her to be a grown woman that sucks her thumb, and besides that her thumbs are both flat, and her teeth have began to round themselves out from her thumb always being on her teeth. they are still her baby teeth so i would like to have a solution before her permanant teeth come in to avoid complications with them. help if you can. no silly answers please.

My Sister and her husband live with our father and stepmother. They have 2 children. They work very hard, and are able to provide their children with everything they need-except a house. They live in the northeast where housing prices are through the roof. They moved up there on the offer of my father, who wanted them to save up enough money to get their own place. They both work full time and my sister goes to school. Then yesterday my stepmother said to my sis that they were thinking of taking the kids for a couple years so that she and her husband could just work all the time until they get a place they can afford. When my sister got upset, my stepmom said it was just a thought and she would only do it if it were mutual. Then she said,"If your father wanted to take you to court and take them, there would be nothing you could do about it,so don't worry about it anyway."My stepmom's not always truthful with any of us and we're starting to think they may be planning to get them. Can they do that

I am almost 6 weeks pregnant, i take care of my husbands brother who has a mental disability and i just turned 26 yesturday. My hubby forgot my birthday!

My head is turning from all the crying ( i am sensitive cause i am pregnant i guess). I feel so hurt. When my hubby got home from work yesterday i had dinner ready, i dset the table and even bought my self my own birthday cake. usually my hubby is the sweetest person, but when he realized he forgot he got mad at me and tried to make it seem like it was my fault that he forgot! I dont understand why he couldnt just apologize to me and try to make it up, instead he ignored me all night while i cried and didnt even bother to sing happy birthday to me or cut the cake.

So my question is should i be mad at him? if so, how long? what should i do? how should i act around him? should i even talk to him, answer his calls?

If i dont allow him to know that i am really hurt he will always be this way
