When my husband was a baby he wouldn't eat veggies unless it had sugar, or maple syrum sprinkled on them. You might want to try that.

Ever since my daughter could eat table foods, I've been feeding her what the family eats. If she chooses not to eat, she's not hungry and eats big at the next meal. Just offer the food at every meal.

My daughter went through a thing with carrots. I cooked up and offered carrots at every meal. She eventually started eating the carrots after about a week. She now eats them eagerly.

She eats, chicken, hamburger, fish, salmon, peas, carrots, brocolli, califlower, green beans, potatoes, cheese, peaches, pears, apples, bananas.......everything.

my daughter is nine now, but she went thru a similar stage when she was a toddler... The pediatrician told me that it was normal for children that age to go thru such things. I just made sure she got her vitamins thru vitamin supplements and drank plenty of water. Does he eat other foods that are equally as healthy? There are so many other ways to see to it that he gets the nutrition he needs without forcing him to eat foods that he doesnt like. Fresh fruits instead of canned fruits, whole milk(in moderation due to the fat content), children's vitamins(they make them in "gummy-bear" form now so kids think they are "candy"), peanut butter for the protein he is not getting from the meats(also in moderation b/c of fat content)....
Have you tried PediaSure, that is another new thing on the market now to help children get the vitamins they are lacking by being "finicky" eaters? Those are things I would try if I were in your situation. It worked for my daughter and she eats just about anything now.... she is nine years old and she is 4ft 7, and weighs app. 80 pounds, and is quite healthy.... If it goes on for a long period of time, you might want to consult your pediatrician.... Im just going by my own experiences, and offering suggestions.... I hope I was of some help!!!! God Bless

Sounds like the typical toddler!

First off, give him a dose of vitamins .. this will suppliment for any missed nutrients.

Try giving him yogurt, or drinkable yogurt or peanut butter for protein... also soy milk is a good source .. give him vanilla or chocolate flavor so it's more accepting.
Fruits if he doesn't eat veggies
With the veggies, I chop them up really really small, and add them to a soup, or I make a casserole.... when you hide it, you can trick 'em.

Also, make up cool names for things for encouragement.

Good luck, I know how hard it is to feed a 2 year old!!

A great way to coax a child into trying new things is to get him involved in the cooking process ( 2 isn't to young to be involved).
Make a big deal out of the snacks you give him! Praise him for helping you prepare them. Eat them with him and tell him how good it is!! Kids take pride in their own creations!

*Get some cheese squares; let him line them up
* Slice & put his favorite fruit on it
* Buy some whacky, colorful toothpicks W/ the frizzy top to stick in the snacks (making them portable)
* turn on some music
* AND EAT UP!!!!

Many Blessings ~~~~~~~**

Your turtle is acting weird if it isnt eating turtle food. Put a small piece of lettuce in the tank. You should also try dried bloody worms and small feeder fish. Also you should try a different type of turtle food. Heres a situation i want you to relate to turtles. You feed your dog a pizza. Your dog loves the pizza. Should you keep feeding it pizza? What im trying to say is, just because itll eat it, doesnt mean its healthy.

If he does not eat don't give in and let him have other things.
My son is 3 and does not like a lot of things but I just tell him that he does not get anything else until he eats what I gave him. eventually he gets hungry and eats it.

Keep offering him small portions of different foods. Some kids need to be offered something dozens of times before they will try it.

What DOES he eat?

Can you sneak things into stuff he likes?

Give him a multi-vitamin and don't worry, my daughter when through this also. As they grow they will eat more things. It is frustrating, but hang in there.

i hide veggies and other things in mashed potato.
try making omelettes and putting veggies in- put some cheese on top and they won't know
blend up things into sauces like with bolognese blend minced beef and veg into the tomato sauce- he won't notice
if he likes cheese make cheese sauce and pour that over chicken- or make it into faces or shapes etc
