If the pregnant mother was drinking alcohol and taking drugs, can she be charged for anything?

I have a friend who just found out he is going to be a daddy but his girlfriend continues to drink and do drugs. He and her family has tried talking to her about getting help to protect her baby from any harm. No luck there. He is now worried and is unsure of what to do.

We have been together for 4.5 years.

I really want to have a baby now, but we compromised to wait another 8.5 months to start trying.

I was trying to do fun things to prepare for a pregnancy: picking out a few baby things, I bought a few baby books, etc.

The problem now is that I feel sick to my stomach and want to cry when I think about waiting another 8.5 months to even start trying.

I will go off the pill when my supply runs out in 5 months and I am upset it will be at least another year before I am pregnant.

It sounds so crazy, but I feel like I have already waited so long to have a baby with the man I love more than anything.

8.5 months just feels like forever.

I don’t want to think about babies, getting pregnant or anything baby related anymore because it makes me too upset.

I try to distract myself with hobbies, my dog, spending time with my husband and working, but I am still upset.

How do I stop feeling like I do?

I have already contacted my doctors office. I am 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. this morning when i went to the bath room i wiped and there was pink blood it wasn't on my underware but it was enough to cover the toliet paper. That was it untl about an hour later i went to the bath room and there was two little pieces of tissue about as long as this line ----. Since then there has been just a little pink tint on the toliet paper when i wipe. My question is: Has this ever happened to anyone and their pregnancy turn out fine?


I had a uti a week ago and it was causing brown spotting. I took antiboditics for it and I think I may still have it. I am waitng for the doctor to call back, I was just wanting to hear of other experiences.

hi i was on dianette i took it for my skin and so i dint need it for contraception but thn i got a b/f and started to take it evryday thn my breasts began to hurt and my nippels became senceative it went for a few days thn i went to the doctors told thm and thy put me on cilest and oral contracepive pill now my nippels are sencitive again i dnt understand help me

She came home early from work and caught him surfing through gay/male websites and gay mens porn. What would you do if you were in her shoes? At 12 he looks like a normal, typical, cute little boy. But he doesn't play with basketballs, or trucks and things little boys like. He likes to hang up under my aunt (which is his grandma) and everywhere she goes, he follows her. (he likes going to the mall and shopping with grandma!) He is a solid, bigboned boy, but when he talks, his voice is real light sounding and it surprises you becuase you would look at him and expect a deeper voice from such a big boy! Any suggestions?

I really wanted to breastfeed my baby boy (currently 10 week old). However, he was premature, and didn't even have colostrum when he was born. Because of his very low glucose level, and low body temperature, he was given a bottle in the hospital. Then, when I finally got my milk coming, he would not latch on. I saw a lactation specialist several times, but nothing worked. I am pumping exclusively, and I was able to establish a good milk supply (over 40 oz / day). I feed him breast milk only (from a bottle); no formula.
However, I feel very sad about not being able to breastfeed; I really wanted to experience this special relationship. This is my first baby, and probably the only one. Should I keep on trying to latch him on, or is it too late? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

I found out I was pregant recently and am having ovarian pains. In 2000 I had surgery on my right ovary and ever since it has been extremely senstive. Do you think that this is normal and I am feeling the little changes or should I worry? I don't have any bleeding and it doesn't catch my breath... it's just there.

Anyone got any advice? I'd go to the Doctor but am waiting on insurance.

I have a jeep grand cherokee laredo and my 2 yr old who sits behind me constantly kicks my seat. on the other side, my 2 month old's infant carrier barely fits through the door and takes up so much space that there isn't enough room for the front passenger's legs. I cant move the baby behind the drivers seat because then there wont be enough room for MY legs. I've been looking at minivans, but the unless it has back bucket seats my 2 year old will be poking the baby in her eyes. and the farthest back seat seems too unaccessable. What kind of car do you drive, and how old are your kids?

okay my son is 10 and has been asking alot of questions about puberty and things like that. I was wondering - Seriously when do boys start to explore them selves, I want to give him his privacy and make sure that i don't barge in on him, I want to make sue that I am aware of what is going to be happening. Hello. I usually have a very heavy flow. and severe cramps. I am 7 days late,(I have never been late before, I am 29) , this morning I woke up to very light bleeding and no cramps at all. I had very light spotting on Friday that I thought may have been implantation. I went for a blood test today and the nurse @ my doctors office said that I may be having a m/c and they want to check my levels to see what the deal is. Could this light bleeding be a m/c or my period or could it mean I am still p/g? I don't get the results back until Tuesday. Has this happened to anyone else?

P.S My husband and I are TCC....
