Have any of you developed tonsilitis (cant spell it) after a month or so into your pregnancy or a severe sore throat - i dont think mine is tonsilitis as so far only one white dot has come up and i have never had it before. I have been tired for the past 2 weeks and the past week exhausted - im bloated, i have boob pain put they havent gone darker and only feel slightly tender. I am on the pill and still taking it as i took neg test 14 days after possible conception which in hind sight was a little early perhaps. My appetite has increased as well.

When you are four weeks pregnant where exactly would the baby be situated, i feel to my left of the belly button about 3 inches to the left like there is something there - it feels odd a cross between a very light stitch and trapped wind?

I have a 1 1/2 yr old, 3 1/2 yr old and an almost 9 yr old....they go shopping with me, we go to the park a lot.....but frankly, I think I'm a boring mom....what are some ideas to spruce up motherhood....the only thing I've been able to come up with are the various things offered by the library, or sports....but there has to be more ideas...I just hate getting into a two week rut with nothing to do...(okay, I love it, but think I'm ruining my kids....)

or do you think a rut, just hanging around the house is okay? I just feel bad when it happens....

have a baby? my friend just asked me, and i cracked up. having 2 myself, she said someone told her it's as close to death as you can get. i think it has to do with how well you tolerate pain in general, any responses?

My nephew just came to visit. We live in the country and my boy and him took a BB Gun in our woods (my son took bottles for target practice, too). Later that night I started a fire outside for the kids and my nephew says I have the perfect thing to throw in....he comes back and has a frog in his hands. I say "you can't throw a live frog in a fire....it's sick" he says "well, I put a BB in him already" I say "you shot it and left it alive to suffer" he says "yes". I took the frog from him and sure enough, he did....I put the frog in the fire....and felt sick...I yelled at my own son that I told him never ever shoot for fun....both my nephew and son swore that my son didn't do it. Later, my son told me that my nephew was out there shooting frogs and birds, picking frogs up, throwing them up against trees....etc...

This is weird behavior to me....it just doesn't seem right.....and I didn't even tell my story that well...it's just not right, right??

adolescents have sex, that both should be charged with the crime? Most often, if charges are filed by the authorities, the adolescent male is the one charged. Shouldn't parents be allowed to use this law to enforce their rules that their children should not be having sex?

I have been going out with my boyfriend for 6 months but my 16 year old daughter is throwing a tantrum about him moving in. He is the first man i have been out with in over 10 years and i have been a single parent for 21 years. Most of the time she gets on with him fine, then she suddenly get a bee in her bonnet and becomes the witch queen from hell. She say she doesnt mind him coming over at weeends but doesnt want him moving in (something my boyfriend and I want to do in the next few months). She has admited that she never wants us to marry etc. Should I just put my foot down and tell her I have a life too and to like it or lump it or should I be more understanding and let her have her way on this?

My 4 yr old son cant keep his hand off my "mama milk". I nursed him until he was 1.. he obviously thinks of it as comfort. but sometimes he just touches me (in public and at home) unconsciously and on purpose just to be naughty. We have told him to stop but I feel so mean when I move his hand away when it wanders while he is sleeping or something. He will even head butt me there. He is a wonderful cuddly boy but this is not cool. help?

Who usually gives the ultrasounds to the pregnant women? I'm not having mine for a few weeks yet, but I was wondering if the doctor did it, or an ultrasound tech... either way is fine... I'm asking on the next visit, but I am just curious. Thank you very much!

That is to say, the little one's fave of the list causes you (A) to have the song going through your head-even when the little one is asleep (B)cringe when you know you're going to read the.same.book.over.AGAIN. (C) want to throw a brick at the start up music of the show/beginning of the DVD.

Not all catagories will fit everyone I know. I am aware of and admire that some do not let their children watch tv, et al. I'm not looking for a way to cure said madness. I just know that I can't be the only one.
My personal nails on the proverbial chalkboard?
Certain Thomas the Train shows. The show/songs that make up Thomas, while cute, just stay there. "They're two, they're four, they're six, their eight"..arrgh! Get out of my head!
Chicken Little: yes the Disney movie, don't hate me. But my son is obsessed with Abby. I know this show like the back of my hand, the hand I twist nervously as I narrowly evade insanity at it's start-up.
& The Roly Poly Pudding-love the story but every night?

I've tried everything from laying on the floor beside her crib to letting her cry it out, including warm baths before bed and those "calming, bedtime" lotions. The only way to get her to go to sleep is for me to lay down with her with no one else in the room (usually downstairs in our livingroom after everyone else is in bed asleep). Even then, she's not going to sleep until at least midnight (sometimes as late as 3:00 am). I've tried getting her up at 8:00 am, only letting her take an hour's nap (which she refuses to take until at least 4:00 pm), keeping her up through the day with no nap(she literally falls asleep aroung 6:00 - 7:00 pm while she's playing the 2 times I've tried this and then waking up a couple hours later, only to be up for hours more). Nothing is working! By the time I get her to sleep, it takes me at least an hour to wind down to where I can go to sleep - I'm exhausted! I'm desperate! Please, if you have experienced answers, HELP
