Yes you can become pregnant at 42 and well beyond that. I had my son when I was almost 40. My Mother was 46 when she gave birth to the last of her 17 children. Couples have had lots of success with fertility drugs which often results in multiple births, twins, triplets, quadruplets and quintuplets. The earlier you get pregnant the better though because there are higher risks involved the older you are. Early blood tests can detect if you are in a high risk pregnancy. If it appears there is a high risk, several other tests will be done so it is essential that you recieve good medical care throughout your pregnancy. Most women however experience a sucessful healthy pregnancy.
At age 25, a woman has about a 1-in-1,250 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome.
At age 30, a 1-in-1,000 chance.
At age 35, a 1-in-400 chance.
At age 40, a 1-in-100 chance.
At 45, a 1-in-30 chance.
At 49, a 1-in-10 chance (1, 4).
Although many women in your age range have healthy pregnancies but you should also be aware of the increased risks involved and make sure to not put it off too long. A visit and consultation with your Doctor will answer a lot of your questions and he will be able to discuss all options open to you as far as fertility drugs, risks, etc.
I wish you all the best of luck in fulfilling your dreams and much happiness in your future.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

As long as you have not started menopause, you can get pregnant. I would consult an infertility specialist if you are having difficulty and there are so many options that they can discuss with you. A co-worker of mine just had a child at 46-beautiful and healthy! Good luck!

Yes, you can still get pregnant..My mother was 41 years old when she gave birth to me. See a doctor for better assistance and also eat healthy live healthy... drink milk and try to use additional vitamins that helps your body prepare for pregnancy and also try not to be too stressed about work or whatever you do... Stress can sometimes be the factor why its hard to get pregnant.

It's totally possible. I just read that an 80-something year old man and his Lolita of a wife (she's the tender age of 43) had a baby. See your doctor and good luck!

My mom was 42 when I was born. But..........why would you want to get pregnant by someone when you aren't actually divorced from your husband? C'mon now. Get it together. You don't want a big mess.
As far as fertility drugs go, you might end up pushing out a litter of babies.

There are increased risks with having a child over 40 you should make contact with a fertility specialist.
It could happen naturally but the chances are lower the older you get.

You can still have children if you haven't started menopause yet. Talk to your ob/gyn about this, there can be complications for the mother and baby, when you start having kids at an older age.
