Technically, if you had no episiotemy, stitches or tearing you can have sex a week after you stop bleeding. So, after I had my 3rd child, I could have had sex at 3 and half weeks. Ha ha, yeah, like I'm going to do that. Your doctor should tell you when is ok for you. If you had stitches, you will have to wait at least 6 weeks for them to heal.

3 months!?! Maybe I'm the only woman on the planet like this but after not wanting to have sex the last month because I was so uncomfortable, I was READY once the baby was born. I think we waited 3 weeks for actual intercourse (I know it was before my 4 week postpartum check both times). I didn't have stiches or any kind of damage so that played a huge part in it. And I waited until I was mostly done bleeding and we used a condom. My midwife just laughed when I told her.

It depends on if you've had a vaginal or c-section birth, if it was traumatic or healthy, if you have stitches or not, and all that stuff. Like someone already said, most doctors advise 6 weeks or more. Back in the day when they had babies at home, they just went ahead whenever it didn't hurt anymore and there was no more blood loss, I suppose. Be careful.

You can start having sexual intercourse as soon as you can comfortably do it. Although, many doctors recommend that you wait atleast 3 months

Depends on how fast the girl heals they say to wait at least 6 weeks to 2 months , in our case being really gentle its was 4. Stiches have a lot to do with that.

the doctor advises 6 weeks, that way you have had your 6 week check up and you're in the clear and everything has returned to normal, but as I was told after having a baby you're Fertile Myrtle lol, so you want to be very conscious of that

Ask your doctor, every case is different. I've heard people say that 6 weeks is sufficient (I don't think that's right though, because you're usually still bleeding a bit then). I waited three months....and it was worth it, the wait made it all the more better.

6-8 weeks after that when your ready. You have to give your body time to heal. Your best bet is to wait until your 6 week check up.

the doctors say 6 weeks, but its really up to you if you have stitches then its best to wait in till they are gone but if not then when ever you feel like you have healed. maybe at like 2 weeks. like i say its how you feel.
