If you're 29 weeks pregnant and the baby is 27 weeks' size, she/he isn't *very* small. That's probably within normal range, as dating this late in pregnancy is very inaccurate. But you do need to eat in order to have a healthy baby.

If you don't have an appetite, you might have a zinc deficiency. You might want to be sure you are getting enough. Otherwise, try eating healthy snacks frequently throughout the day instead of a few big meals.

Bananas have potassium and will help give you a little energy. I'm not a doctor but the fact that the amniotic fluid is decreased isn't a good sign. I hope that your doctor is watching you and seeing you almost every week or at least twice a month. I know I would be stressing, but try not to. Try to relax and maybe get in the habit of reading when you're stressed so you will calm down and get involved in a book so you won't be thinking too much. I wish you the best. Good luck! I am a mom of a 19-month-old princess.

if you are having trouble eating that means you need to eat more often with less amounts. Your stomach is getting crowed out. Eat 5 small meals a day and have healthy snacks between times.
Get your self some whole milk to drink. Eat dark green vegtables with salad dressing....not low fat either.
Have an ocassional milk shake, not a fake one but a real one.
Eat good quality beef. Has the doctor checked your redblood cell count lately?
You are eating to have a healthy baby. This is the time of your life to put on weight. Don't worry about that.
Your child needs the best neutrition possible now. If you can't figure out what to eat.......buy some Ensure to drink between meals. If you get nauseated during the day or night eat some saltine crackers, they will settle your stomach. An empty stomach makes you feel like you don't want to eat. But you need to eat. and take your prenatal vitimnes
During the end of your pregnancy your baby will be putting on my weight.

I'm about 16 weeks pregnant and I was recently told that I have symptoms of preeclampsia. I did some research and preeclampsia is one of the most common known reasons for premature birth. I also read that women with preeclampsia can have smaller babies. Have you had your urine checked for protein?? This is often a sign of preeclampsia along with weakness, fatigue, headaches, backpain, shortness of breath amoungst other symptoms.

As far as foods go I would shoot for high fat foods that are healthy. Peanut butter, avacados, nuts...ensure is good too. Veggies and fruit of course. I don't know what your appitite has been like but mine is off and on. Sometimes it's really hard to eat and the sight of food just sickens me (I usually have a great appitite so go figure!). Take your prenatal vitamins if you can (they make me ill).
