Hello. I usually have a very heavy flow. and severe cramps. I am 7 days late,(I have never been late before, I am 29) , this morning I woke up to very light bleeding and no cramps at all. I had very light spotting on Friday that I thought may have been implantation. I went for a blood test today and the nurse @ my doctors office said that I may be having a m/c and they want to check my levels to see what the deal is. Could this light bleeding be a m/c or my period or could it mean I am still p/g? I don't get the results back until Tuesday. Has this happened to anyone else?

P.S My husband and I are TCC....

Thanks everyone!! :)

Well, the doctor is right on the money, you may very well be having a miscarrige, or it may be a slight case of breakthrough or implantation bleeding.
By testing the HCG levels, they can tell if you are trying to miscarry or not.

Uusally a lot of women have slight bleeding, or spotting here and there.
It usually is nothing to worry about, but you did the right thing by seeing your caregiver about it.

If you stress over it, it will get worse and you will really freak out more.
Best advice I can give, relax, start window shopping for supplies, make a list of what you want/need for your nursery.
Enjoy your pregnancy.

Best of luck

It could be pregnancy because some women still have a period while they are pregnant which is why it takes them a while to find out that they are pregnant. I have an family member who had regular periods and didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor.

it is possible that you're pregnant. Although its not uncommon for your cycle to change a little as you age. This could just be a fluke cycle.

did you try a home test? i'd just wait for your blood work to come back, thats the best way to know for sure.

You might be having a m/c, but it could also be your period. Some people do have their periods while preg. as long as there's no heavy bleeding or blood clots!
