Pregnancy & Parenting - 26 July 2006

My 7 months old wakes up 8 - 10 times each night (more during wee hours) to breast feed. Doctor suggested to feed him water with a sipper instead. That does not help. He cries a lot if not breast fed and does not sleep at all. Any ideas?

And my 3 yrd old son @ at times(most of the times) is also throwing tantrums and end up spanking him or scolding him ..but @ the end of the day feel so guilty and ashamed that i cry and say sorry to him .He also cuddles up to me.But i feel so bad thinking of the times i have not been able to handle him well.Is it normal to feel like this .To top it all my husband is also away from home for sometime now officially.Help !

I found out I was pregnant a week ago and then today all of sudden I started bleeding. I went to the ER and they told me that more than likely I had a chemical pregnancy. Can anyone help me understand what that actually means?

sometimes throws up when drinking cows milk and gets a rash down there ,she is 1 years old now so should I stop giving her milk or will that hurt her?

or Korean Haemorragic fever? I mean, it should cure these things right? Hell, what AIDS paitent needs AZT and cocktail therapy when they can just get a boob milk IV and be better in 1 week. That's how Magic Johnson got cured. It's supposed to be a secret though. Plus, it can cure leukemia with one squirt, just ask the psycho chick in Seattle that almost killed her baby thinking breastmilk was gonna fix his kidney disorder. Lots of US soldiers contract KMF when in the field environment during Korean summertime, hows about sending their commanders care packs of titty milk to cure these soldiers? Who the hell needs Cipro and broad spectrum IV antibitotics when you have good ole titty milk. The panacea of the universe.

I babysit him every day until August 7 and he cries eveytime I put him in timeout. I put him in time out because I tell him to do something almost 3 times and he will not. When he gets out of timeout he cries and cries. He stops after he watchs tv for a 30 mintues, but when I ask him something he will begin to cry again.
I'm being the bad guy, or is he too senitive.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant & for the past few weeks when I'm trying to sleep I've noticed a very active fetus! Seriously, the baby is causing me all kinds of pain. It feels like an attack sometimes. It can range from feeling like needles in my bladder to karate from within. I don't remember it hurting this bad when I was pregnant with my first child!

Why do young teenage girls ask people what they think of them and show a picture? Call me over protective, but are you crazy? I would throw my computer in the yard if my daughter did that. Paents put your computer where you can see what your kids are doing. I would hate to know that someone's child got hurt because of this stupidity. Girls, what does it matter what other people think- much less a stranger? You are putting yourself and family at risk. You could get kidnapped, raped or killed. All so someone can tell you you're cute. What are you thinking?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter had to be sedated on Monday morning to have some dental work done. On Tuesday she seemed to be feeling fine. Tuesday night however, she started vomiting. She vomited off and on from appx 9pm-2am. This morning she started throwing up again and was also running a fever. I took her to the dentist to check for an infection but was told she is healing fine.

My normally very active 2 year old is now laying around complaining that her stomach hurts. She has not vomited since this morning but still runs a fever when the Tylenol runs out.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I am worried that something is being missed by the dentist and her doctor. (I called her doctor and was told she may have the flu) I just feel uneasy about the whole thing.

For those of you who went the route of cloth diapers for your children, what did your cloth diaper layette consist of?

Here's an overview of what I had for my first baby when I was starting out.

4 dozen standard flat cloth diapers. (Great for burping too).
8 pairs of rubber pants. (Pull-on style).
6 sets of diaper pins.
1 diaper pail.
A dozen baby wash cloths.
1 box of flushable diaper liners. (Great for those new baby meconium poops).

As time went by and as I needed certain things, I just went out and bought them. Hard to believe I'm on baby #3 and still using cloth diapers. Shame on everyone who told me I wouldn't be able to make it with cloth diapering.

one day we went to meet our friends in a hotel. when we got into the elevator, there was some indian people came in.
my daughter said "hmm... smells bad" while she covered her nose.
i felt so awkward and sorry...

I would like to hear more from those who are not on birth control pills, IVF out of the qns, married & trying to conceive.... but u finally had it after 1 year and above of your marriage.
