yes they are asking when you THINK you may have concieved. If they asked when your last menstral period was then they would ask that. First they try to see if you may know when you may have concived. Good luck.

conception is hard to find in some people you have the conceving date which is the date that you had sex it usually takes 3 days for conception to happen. so the date of cenception is more than likely 3 days after you have sex. but to estimate how far along you are the doctors don't usually use the date of conceving nor conception its usually the date of the first day of your last period. however with some people they either don't know the date or they have iregular periods so its hard.

Date of conception does not mean when you started your period. It means when you got impregnated (yes, had sex). Who's asking you anyway? It can't be your doctor, because he/she will be the one to tell you your approximate date of conception based on the first day of your last menstrual cycle.
Let's say your first day of your period was June 14, and your cycles are 26 day cycles... conception would have occurred on June 28 or 29 (your most furtile day or the day you would have ovulated).
I hope I've cleared up your question for you.

yes, it means the date of intercourse, because that is the expected date of conception. or fertilization of the egg. It could be a few days after this date also, because sperm lasts a few days.
