It just depends on your body. I'd say the only way to possibly even guess at that is look at how your mom's labor was. But even then no two people are alike. My first was 4 hours from when my water broke (I was in labor before that but now dialating and not having pain) to when I delivered. It went fast and I didn't even ahve time for an epidural. Good luck, sweetie. My best advice is to not be AFRAID of laobr bacause it will make it take longer, I believe. Just keep telling yourself this is a natural part of life that women in Africa perform in a grass hut, u know? Just let your body do what it was born to do :)

They say the average time is between 12 - 15 hours. Don't bet on it though...
When I went into labor... I was 12 days early...
My water broke at 2:00 am (and I heard it explode inside, no kidding)... so I thought I had plenty of time. I called the doctor and I started packing for the hospital... which I should have had done weeks ago. My house was a mess, so I started cleaning... pains started coming on pretty strong, so I jumped in the shower (didn't want to go to the hospital all scuzzy). Got to the hospital by 3:45 am at which time I was 4 cm dilated (and buckled over in pain). By the time I got admitted, put into a room, and hooked up, I was in alot of pain (I skipped the drugs). I started pushing at 5:30 am (the least painful part for me)... and gave birth at 5:41 am.
Just wanted to let you know how it could go. Be prepared with your bag. You'll never know when it can happen. Oh! if you have a couch or mattress you value, don't sleep on it unless it's completely wrapped and water proofed. I unfortunately had just gotten comfy on my brand new, Ultrasuede couch that had just arrive the day before. Not a pretty sight!

The average labor for a first timer is 14 hours.
I was in labor for 16 hours and 45 minutes with my first. It was so tiring.

Well, There is no "average labor time". Everybody's body is different, and everybody's pregnancies are different so the time varies. I had my son about 2 1/2 hours after I got to the hospital.
Don't worry! Everything will be fine.

mine was almost 4 days... depends... it all depends... they say you deliver faster if you walk a lot... I did all that but it still took me 4 days since my first contraction (1 cm).. and had to go in for c-sec at 7 cm opening,....
All depends... normally I would say 12 hours... but I know people who did it in 1 to 2 hours... no fix rule..
