Here's the thing, I became a father for the first time about a year ago. My relationship has never been quite good with my wife since we got married. When my boy was five months I recieved a phonne call from a former girlfriend and i said, hey why not. We had the time of our lives, she had a 4 year old daughter already. we saw eachother about once a month. Yesterday we met at a shopping mall and she told me that she has cancer and she's dying, and she told me that I am the father of the 4 year old girl. She told me that she tried to find me, but her mother went to have some liver treatment at Houston and she lost contact, she just arrive back in town, her mother died a little ago. How do I tell my wife that I have a daughter?

My 10 month old daughter started pulling up a few weeks ago and she is also getting her top teeth as of last week.

She used to sleep from 9pm to atleast 7-8pm straight. Now, she wakes up 1-2 times a night standing up, crying for me, wanting a bottle and to be rocked back to sleep. If she happens to wake up for the first time after the sun comes up, then she won't go back to sleep even though she is tired. Can anyone please help me with what I should do to teach her to sleep on her own and all night again? I don't know if she's too old to use the cry-it-out method. Please help!

hullo,
I have a 6 months old baby. i recently bought her nestle nigeria infant cereal maize/soya. someone however discouraged me about soya products but she does not remember the reason why soya is allegedly bad in babies.
Could you kindly share with me whether it is ok?

I have a 7 year old son and now a 2 week old son. My wife can be a quite anxious and highly strung person and the stresses of the new baby have sent her to pieces. She cannot cope with the night time waking (which is frequent - every 2 hours) and invariably ends up screaming, panicking and sobbing. I worry about how this is all affecting our 7 year old. It breaks my heart to see my wife that way. I am feeling the strain myself - currently working full time, settling the baby during the night when my wife loses the plot, trying to keep my older son away from the sobbing mother. I have tried to encourage her to give up breast feeding so that she can have a break away from the baby, but as yet am unsuccesfull. She sees herself as a complete failure on every level and would see giving up the breast as an additional failure. I am offering lots of support, am frequently taking time off from work to help out. Would like to hear any one elses experiences and ways they found to cope.
