I have an in-home daycare and one of the kids (almost 3 yo) is VERY behind socially and developmentally. He can't do things that many 1 year olds can and cannot talk except a couple single words. I have only had him in my daycare for about 2 months and have a good rapport with his mom (she also has an older child in my daycare that is a little behind but not as severely). How can I suggest that she have her child evaluated without hurting her feelings? I think it would be beneficial for him to have assistance early on instead of waiting until he is in school and possibly too far behind to function in a normal classroom. I have worked in special education classrooms for a few years and know how important it is to treat them early. I just really don't want to hurt her feelings but I don't think she sees that there is a problem. Please help!

Ex and I broke up and he moved back home (another state), it was a mutual agreement to end relationship. Problem is I might be pregnant. I'm to take a test tonight when I get home from work. If I am pregnant I want to keep the child, I'm 27 with a 6 year old and I do not want to abort. Problem is if I am I don't want him to feel I'm just saying this because I want him back, because this is not the case. We both are financially stable and are each loving parents (he has a 13yr and 9yr). What is the best way to go about explaining to him I want to keep the child(if this is the case). While together we agreed that if I ever got pregnant we would have the child, but of course the circumstances changed. We also agreed to be friends, but I will admit we haven't been broken up long enough to see how this will actually play out......

Ok. Well, last week I had an appointment for my pregnancy. I heard my baby's heartbeat for the FIRST TIME! I am 19 yrs. old and I used to weigh 120 before I got pregnant and now I am 123 lbs. I am thin but you could see a little pouch. The weird thing is.. when I wake up in the morning I end up being on my back ALWAYS when I usually sleep on my sides. Well, when I wake up my stomach feels flat and soft. Then, when I get up to use the bathroom and feel on my abdomen it feels hard or right after I eat. Is this normal? This is my first pregnancy by the way.

I’m 16 years old and on the pill. I had sex with my boyfriend on the night of June 24 the vary next day I left for Mexico for vacation, while there I accidentally forgot to take my pill for several days. When I got home I started my period on the July 2nd though my period lasted five days like normal for me on the pill, it was vary light, using light tampons for the first three days and then only vary light spotting for the next two. The first time I had any sign of pregnancy was the 5th when I threw up early that morning and other then that I had an increase in appetite but the smell or consumption of food would make me sick. I wouldn’t throw up but was miserable until I wasn’t full anymore. Usually I could only eat about a handful of food at a time before I started feeling sick. Then another week or so with my queasiness I threw up again, after eating in the afternoon. I have also been experiencing irregular sleeping patterns often-needing naps during the day. Well, then I began to loose weight (I have been exercising more then usual). I am still having an increase in physical activity but now I’m beginning to gain weight back a vary miniscule amount but odd for the fact that I had been loosing weight, and my food intake while slightly better is still not vary successful. Today was the worst sign of fatigue yet, though for the entirety of summer I have been getting a full 8 hours of sleep tonight for some reason I slept for 12 hours something VARY uncommon for me. Typically, even if I don’t have anything to do, I will always sleep just 8 hours typically during the summer I stay up till around 1 in the morning and wake around 8 possibly nine. Yet today I went to sleep at one in the morning and woke up and nearly one thirty in the afternoon. I have been also experiencing unusual lower back pain and a brownish red discharge over the past few days. I have had pregnancy scares before but this is by far the worst this is the only time I have ever had actual symptom not just paranoia. I have been under an unusual amount of stress lately so that could be it but if not I want to make sure. Please if any of you have an idea please tell me.

My bestfriend had sex with her bf last Sunday. They broke up on Sunday(after they had sex). They had sex at 3am on Sunday. She had sex with her new bf on Monday at 3am. She is now pregnant and she used a condom with both of them. This is a serious sitiuation. What bf was the one that made her pregnant. She just got her period on Monday night. But it ended today. Ok, I know, taming is for animals but man, these kids act like one sometimes! How should you discipline a kiddo of 3 years that feels like what he is doing (bad) is funny. I get upset but he laughs....then I give him time out but this is not working. I've also taken favourite toys away from him but then he just moves on and forgets I even took it from him...
What to do??

I am 10 wks pregnant and today I have a dr's appointment. He said we will be able to hear the heartbeat for the 1st time. I am very nervous because I have been spotting for the last 4 wks. I called the office when it started and they said its OK. But I didnt spot at all with my 1st child. I am scared to death that something is wrong and we won't hear the heartbeat. Hi I have a 4.5 year old and he really wants to learn to read. What are some of the tried and tested tools (software, books, games, etc) that have worked for people? What is most recommended?

We tried hooked for phonics system, but, he never caught on to that.. and gets bored very fast of that.. please advice. thanks

What to feed my 12 month old. He stills is on Gerber 2nd and 3rd', baby cereal and formula. I do feed him like chicken and cheese and cheerios but anything else he gags and vomits. He only has 5 teeth. Please any suggestions

Ok heres the story. She already has three kids who stay with thier dad in another state. She has nothing to do with them except a phone call from time to time. Now she is pregnant again! Well I was suppose to get my period on July 15 or 16? Instead I had very light bleeding (only when i wiped) for 2- 4 days that week. MY boyfriend and I had sex the whole week of july 3 with no condom we used the "pull-out" method. I have had some stomach pain and i have been very irritable. Also my periods are irregular but they are only 3-4 days off schedule. I am trying to find me a new ob/gyn cause my last one sucked. I did take a HPT on 7/21 and it was negative. I still have no period. Can I be pregnant?
